That's true but one still had to have some kind of ADC membership unless you were the press.

Well yes you had to be a ticketed WWDC attendee (or press) to attend the Steve Jobs keynote - for every other event - be it a 'state of the union' or 'state of quicktime' or 'developers tools update' you had to be under Apple NDA (and I would assume an official attendee/speaker or perhaps 'VIP' of some kind) but yea no matter way everything BUT Steve's first keynote was NDA bound all that way.

I wish I were attending this year... :(

Multi-touch iMacs or Cinema Displays are long way off. The mouse and keyboard are going to remain for some time yet.

Of course, mouse and keyboard will stay and should stay for a while. Multi-touch will be an addition and used when you would need it. Complete swivel back iMac to rest the screen in horizontal position or any tanget position for ease of use. or how about replacing the chin of iMac with a multi-touch second display that contain dock, widgets, etc.

I just want to add, I walked into Moscone West an hour ago.
The covered banners were still there

Correct me if I am wrong== but weren't the Mac Pro's updated TWO MONTHS AGO when the 8-Core Mac Pro was introduced??

Is there something revolutionary that they would be releasing to top that?

Or are they just going to release Mac Pros with improved processors and memory/graphics? Seems hardly worth having a keynote for that type of announcement.

The keynote is about LEOPARD for DEVELOPERS..Hello ??

Yea I think from all the banners we have seen, this keynote is going to be very very very leopard specific. The iPhone I'm sure will get some mention and even a little bit of time talked about it but it will in no way steal the show. This is about OS X and the Mac platform (though I really think that the iPhone is a small portable Mac).

Hello?

Is the Mac Pro the only computer the software works on or something?

That reasoning is weak, IMO.

Developers make software that works on ALL of the computers, not just the Mac Pro.

Thats correct. And the software revolves around Leopard.

This years WWDC is going to be Leopard..Leopard..Leopard..

Some of these characters just don't get it... :(

I for one WOULD NOT BE SHOCKED if all we got out of tomorrow was some iPhone and iPod hype (Steve can't really avoid that with all the press and wall street watching) **and** new updates on Leopard. It also would NOT be a shock to me if a new GUI was STILL kept under wraps...

The only reason they would hold back the new GUI would be because it's not ready for prime-time.I personally believe it to be because Apple is giving out "fully functioning betas".

What do you make of this?

A previously menioned shot showed a portion of this banner, but this one shows much more of it. Can anyone blow this up and see if you can make anything out of the literally hundreds of icons on there? Beneath the '07' it appears to be a revised version of the current Applications icon (bruch, pencil ruler), bu I'm not sure...

Possibly. But he did promise at D that they would show a "feature complete" Leopard. I think this is really it, the big unveiling.

not the same banner bro

The CONFERENCE is about Leopard and for developers.
The KEYNOTE is potentially more wide-ranging.

Potentially yes but if you add up ALL of the things people are *expecting* to be announced at the keynote tomorrow there'd be no time LEFT for Leopard! :p

Lets be realistic...

Mac Book - Just updated
Mac Book Pro - Just updated
Mac Pro - Recently updated

iMac, mini & cinema displays... I **seriously** doubt we're gonna see all three get attention so if anything I'd say "pick one" (at the most). As for 'something totally new' --- who knows... but I do know Apple has an awful lot on it's plate as it is and rolling out yet another NEW product line might be pushing things to the breaking point...

There are only so many **NEW PRODUCT** rollouts any one company can effetely manage (not to mention push thru the hype machine) at the same time. Apples plate is pretty full from what I can see.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if the Mac Pros got another update tomorrow. But they were just updated two months ago. Seems a little early to be changing something that is already in the market stream.

The iMacs have been in the market for ages now. They are due for a refresh- especially in lieu of the MacBook Pro updates last week.

But- since the keynote is Monday, and things are typically updated on Tuesdays, it wouldn't surprise me if there wasn't much in the way of an update during the keybote- and then the iMacs got updated the next day.

Is it me or do all those icons look more...detailed ? With de dark shadow etc. They seem to have more "depth". It's a bit hard to explain.

And what's that mail icon with a brown trashcan thing on it ? Right next to the large blue dashcode icon.

And the icon between the UNIX badge and the iCal logo. Something that looks like a soundmixer ? And does someone recognise the icon that's next to it ? The yellow, gold thing ?
