I had a fairly heated, [but respectful] discussion with a friend down in Tennessee over the vaccine. He refused the vaccine due to the 1% that it could be fatal or pose adverse side effects. (I also suspect partially it was due to his religion why he refuted the vaccine.) Nonetheless, he said he was ‘candid in his decision and that he was perfectly fine’. He claims he did his research with local doctors that it was his best decision to avoid the vaccine, and since that discussion; he was on 55L of high flow oxygen with possible lung damage after contracting C/19 and was hospitalized for a total of a month.
When you have people this late in the pandemic in terms of not wanting the vaccine, these are the people that there is no changing their minds. They just have to accept the ramifications of their decisions and we can try to educate the best we can with backed sources/data, but not denigrate.
