I received a Pfizer booster a few days ago. I had some soreness in my arm and a mild headache on days 1 and 2. Other than that, no major side effects.

My first two doses were Pfizer. I obtained a flu shot about a month before the COVID booster.
Got my flu shot today so that makes 4 vaccines this year so far, feels a bit like we're pincushions doesn't it? ? All good though, I'll take 10 of these mothers in the eyeball if it means not ending up on a ventilator gasping for air.

Amen to that! Prior to the pandemic, a family member contracted ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome) and spent two weeks in an ICU.

ARDS is often caused by COVID-19 infections that progress beyond the mild symptom stage. People with ARDS have to be put on ventilators. It is not exaggerating to say it's a matter of life or death.

Anybody who has had a relative or friend put into an induced coma and then placed on a ventilator knows that it is extraordinarily stressful on both the patient and on loved ones. For me and my family, wearing masks and getting vaccinated is a very, very small inconvenience compared to what we went through when faced with ARDS.

I just realized this. I need to schedule the booster but trying to plan it for a rest day.

There are lots of people that get a ton more than that. I have a friend report that he will be in the hospital for a week due to a bad reaction to chemo. The cancer world is a lot of needles. I imagine that those with diabetes have it even worse.

That’s interesting to know as both mine were AstraZeneca too. About a week after I had my first, they decided no under 40’s should have it lol . Maybe i’ll get the Pfizer booster too.
When it was time to have my second they had already decided that under 40’s shouldn’t have the AZ shot. However they said that I had to have AZ because I’d already had it the first time, even though I was under 40. I think I got Pfizer this time becuae they didn’t have any Az in stock.

My health care provider is only giving Pfizer booster shots. Even though I got the two part Moderna vaccine, I opted not to wait to see if they would have the Moderna booster later. It's now about 48 hours since getting it. My arm was very sore for more than a day, much worse than it was six, seven months ago from the first or second shot. I had a fever the first night after the booster, but slept pretty well, and I was not tired all day like I was for the second shot.

My local healthcare provider isn't providing vaccines. They suggest going to a pharmacy to get them. I checked one and they have Moderna. I'd guess that I could check others and that they would have Pfizer. My hospitals in Boston do offer vaccinations but that's two hours of driving, $20 for parking that I don't need. My state vaccination record wouldn't have the entry either.

Taking it easy today after having gotten my Moderna booster yesterday. No chills this time, which was nice, but I do have that generalized malaise, mild achey feeling, and my left arm is a bit sore. That'll go away probably after another night's sleep and another day or two. I am glad that I chose to have the flu vaccine at a different time, as that way I know specifically how the Moderna vaccine is affecting me. It's a relief to have this over and done now -- until the next booster!

My first two Moderna jabs were at one of the offices of the county health department, but this time, since there is significantly more vaccine to go around and availability is not limited, I was able to to go to the pharmacy at my local grocery store. Filled out paperwork and I am guessing that the information I provided there along with the information about the specific dose number of the Moderna I received yesterday will go into the state health department agency. I also had to provide my Medicare card and my secondary insurance card as well, which wasn't necessary the first two times.

Wow, sorry to hear that. You would think they would all be available from several locations but I guess not. Just throwing this out there if you haven't seen it (assuming MA?) https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/ I also used this to find them in CA.

My local CVS has Moderna. A difference CVS has Pfizer. I got my first two at WalGreens and I could go there too.
When I went early last week the CVS closest to us had both, when my wife booked her appt earlier this week, they only had Moderna, another CVS had both so she booked there… it’s 10 vs 20 min so not a big deal… what I like about CVS over my health care provider is the speed of service/efficiency

Our local CVS is understaffed and it's the only one in the area. Last time we went for an immunization, we got there and the pharmacy was closed and a note left. They closed the pharmacy early for lack of staff and the person that does immunizations had to leave early. We really could use another CVS in the area our little town is growing like crazy. There is another CVS that we often use for prescriptions because they aren't so busy but they don't do vaccinations.

Last week I got the ‘natural immunity booster’, otherwise known as Covid. Not recommended. That one definitely has some symptoms. Thanks to AstraZeneca for the back-up - wouldn’t want to have faced it alone.

This whole under-staffing shortage is just absolutely ridiculous. And specifically for clinics that are administering vaccinations, they can’t even fulfill the vaccinations, because they don’t have the staff. We have articles of cancellations of vaccinations for people, which is nothing more than a halting point to move forward. That’s Partially due to medical staff just being completely exhausted, quitting and finding another line of work.

Took a booster of the Pfizer a few hours ago. Wasn’t feeling like it was imperative but I’m a first responder and my employer encouraged me to get it. Not feeling anything out of sorts. Not even soreness at the injection site. So yay for me. Will report back with any change of status.

Hmmm. I called my clinic, one of a dozen or more in the county, part of the largest healthcare network around here. They offered an appointment that evening, but I chose the following morning. There was no delay getting the shot at the pharmacy located in the clinic.

I had a bad reaction to both my Covid jabs ( mixed dose ). Was sick for less than 2 days - first jab was worse than second in regards to side effects. Still, better than getting COVID itself, worse, resulting in Long Covid.

When my age group is recommended for a third dose, I’ll be ready. The more people are vaccinated, the quicker this **** show will end. More importantly, less stress for medical, frontline workers who are burnt out.

No problem with the initial series or the booster. Pfizer.

Had two appointments for booster at Walgreens. The first was rescheduled on arrival because they "were having trouble with the scheduler" whatever that means. The second was aborted after I arrived for a 3:00 PM appointment. No vaccine in the house. None expected that day. Plenty of time to send an email notification of that problem instead of the reminder to be there on time. Pharmacist told me to go back to the scheduler and reschedule. Lots of wasted time for pharmacist and customer.

I went to Giant Eagle the next day. All went as scheduled.

I wonder if Walgreens just wants to bring people in the door in hopes of an incidental purchase of their overpriced goods?

Wow, I had no problem whatsoever in simply walking in to the grocery store and over to the pharmacy department, no appointment, simply asked if it were possible to get the booster, the woman gave me a clipboard with the sheets of info to fill out, I did that, and about five minutes or so after I'd turned the clipboard in, the pharmacist came out and led me to a partitioned-off area which provided privacy and after verifying my name, date of birth and the vaccine I wanted (Moderna booster), I took off my coat and cardigan, pulled up the sleeve of the short-sleeved tee I had worn specifically for this reason and she administered the injection. That was that!

Our state had problems with WalGreens and they were suspended for a while and then started giving them out again. The suspended part was in-between my first and second shots. I did get the second shot there but I was working pretty hard to find another place to get the shot and then they opened back up again. The guy giving the shots said that there was a possibility that I wouldn't be able to get the second shot there because he was unable to book a second appointment after I go the first one.

I'll try to book an appointment early in the day to avoid them running out.
