But did you know there are asymptomatic cases amongst young people, or did you just assume all young people get sick? That's the real question...
You personally have been told it at least a dozen times, now you decided you are the source for that information. Did you just erase in your memories the source of all the info we've been providing and decided you spontaneously acquired it? Asking for a friend.

What? I don’t remember much from here or any forum on the Internet for that matter but my point was that there’s people who get symptoms AND those who don’t get any at all. It’s both

Since you post quite a bit about parties, I’d say you‘re a bit late to this one. It’s well known that people can be asymtomatic, hence the need for the physical distancing and masks. Did you think that was a question?

EXACTLY. So basically you can have the virus but not know you have the virus. It's not like you're guaranteed to get symptoms if you get the virus. So you can be a young person partying living your life, get it, but never know you got it- just as a possible example

THANKS! I‘m glad you clarified that for me. I think I just learned something.

Anytime, I love to teach. I use the local rules as a guideline of what to do and what not to do. But overall, I think each person has to decide for themselves what works and what doesn’t.

So yes I have an awesome mask I use. It’s looks super cool. I also social distance from people I don’t know. So if I’m filling gas, I pull up to a pump with no one on the other side. Just things like that.

I do still go to restaurants and other places with friends and girlfriend, but that doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. I still travel as well, but I feel like it’s right for me personally.

Wow.

Would you possibly care to share some pictures?

I’ll share a pic of me with my cool mask...

Any idea what that young person carrying the virus and mixing with lots of people has the potential to do?

Just seeing if you can educate us with this new found knowledge you’ve acquired despite ignoring and fishing for reactions here for months.

Depends on the young person. I've heard some are asymptomatic...

Literally you are the one who chanted that being young made you impervious, back 3 months ago when we had less then 30K dead and 1.3M cases and it was time to go back to the bars, because your governor said it was ok. Now today we break 163K dead (thats an additional 133K dead americans) and break 5M cases (thats an additional 3.7M cases in the US alone) do you at least believe that it got worse after your super smart governor opened everything despite you telling us all your data told you it wasnt and it couldn't. Since you are now bragging about forgetting everything you read I kind of need to know a starting basis for your current knowledge so we know what to start with.

Keep in mind, the Internet is a very elusive tool how people want to project themselves with anonymity as ‘digital strangers‘. @Hieveryone claims he is young regarding the coronavirus, but in reality, he’s actually believed to be well over 50 from previous threads over the years of contradiction (Yup, I’ve don’t plenty back-end research). So be that it may, I don’t suspect he has a sense of reality of the ramifications of C/19 for a younger demographic [Which is why I mentioned his age above 50, given he seems out of touch with the younger generation], which is why he seemingly makes statements that don’t hold regarding death rate, case-by-case state infection rates, ‘partying’, flying, ‘Not going out’, the list goes on and on.....

That said, asymptomatic cases are a very real thing for those question it, but it’s not just a younger demographic that is asymptomatic, it can anyone can be who is asymptomatic of all ages, gender, ect. (Yes, I realize that’s obvious, but I think it needs to be said.)

I was just hearing a podcast that juvenile students in Israel are spreading C/19 consistently who are not showing symptoms and they’ve had a massive spike of cases since reopening schools after May. In the next three months, ‘all eyes‘ are on schools to see if the appropriate measures are actually taking effect of controlling the situation.

I’m seeing a lot of local businesses and supermarkets around me are issuing statements about not tolerating the abuse of staff. I’m seeing lots of people wearing masks but ignoring the signage in places and not social distancing. I went to ASDA the other day and there are clear one way systems in place but the vast majority of shoppers totally ignoring it. Staff so their best to politely tell people and are sworn at. People in general are quite thick and part of me thinks we could do with thinning these sorts of people out! Total idiots.

Unfortunately, for some, it takes getting really sick from COVID to take it seriously. There have been several "testimonials" on the news of people who've recovered saying they did not think it was real, and warning others that indeed it is. Even with over 163,000 deaths in less than 6 months, there still seem to be many who are in denial. I don't get it, and I don't see a way out of it when so many are not taking precautions to prevent spreading the virus.

I was taking a flight out of Logan Airport (Boston) the other day on JetBlue. Everyone wore masks on the plane and while in the terminal. The airline emphasized what they were doing to help keep people safe.

Traveling via air clearly is not the most risk-free endeavor currently. I felt JetBlue did a reasonably good job with their procedures to help minimize transmission. But disturbingly the TSA security check line had zero clear signage (ie 6ft reminder decals on ground) or officer instruction to remind people to maintain social distancing.

It was 6AM and very quiet- there were maybe 10-15 people between 2 lines... and at least as many TSA staff. But people were all standing on top of each other. I also believe the x-ray conveyor belt bins were not being cleaned before being returned to the start of the line. It was pretty surprising the TSA wasn’t making any effort to encourage social distancing.

Everyone was wearing masks so the personal space issue is not the end of the world, but having an extra level of security/protection doesn’t hurt. After all, the people in line are presumably from all over the country and world- and the destination is currently one of the worst affected areas in the US. Although surface transmission is currently believed to be less common route of transmission, not sanitizing the bins seems pretty negligent and just asking for problems.

I agree that many people don’t follow the rules. Like for example, everyone HAS a mask on, but I see PLENTY wearing it below their chin...

social distancing? My girlfriend and I ordered takeout at a restaurant and groups of like 10 people were walking out.

Not everyone takes it seriously

Person: I don't care about corona.
Also person: Can't stop talking about corona.

Yes that's true. I talk about it A LOT on here. I just looked up the numbers and it's gone up. It's amazing how many people just don't care about it anymore and aren't taking it seriously (in terms of following the rules).

Maybe that's why it's going up?

Seems like posting in this very thread demonstrates the opposite of that.

Exactly. Without this thread I wouldn't have a clue what's going on or have any interest in researching it. The latest is that schools are open and kids are getting it and having to quarantine. There's even a pic online of a PACKED hallway at some high school (I'm guessing it's a high school not sure), and the kid got suspended for posting it, but then they reversed the suspension.

EDIT: They don't appear to be wearing masks either...

I guess if you perhaps also don't ever really check any sort of news either. But then again that basically means not really knowing much, if anything, about what's going on in general.

And yet right in the next sentence it appears you are quite aware of what's going well outside of this thread and it's all being discussed all over pretty much all of the time.

True I only check news if I get bored or having nothing to do. I just read they’re doing some studies though on some treatments. Something about plasma. But that’s not gonna be done until October I think. Still, I’m glad there’s progress!

So clearly it's all still being discussed. Which makes the earlier statement about not knowing that it's still being discussed that much more odd.
