CPW - now preordering for delivery on the 11th online...

I ordered instore on Friday when I found out they'd run out of 16gb's, still waiting for them to call me to tell my phone has come in. Every time i ring the store no-one answers so I went in yesterday to ask, they had other people's phones (delivered by courier) but not mine. I'm really annoyed as I've paid £159 under the pretense that I would get the phone yesterday, CPW/O2/Apple need to sort this debacle out!
North Finchley CPW. Picked it up last night and it looked like it arrived at the store via courier at it had been jiffy bagged so doesn't look like they got a big batch in.
Mine was supposed to be delivered in Southgate. Not a million miles away from you by 125 I believe.
Just following up on the refund... turns out when I cancelled the order on Saturday and then recancelled it on Sunday when it didn't happen the first time(!), the refund was raised as a cheque sent out today.
Fairly annoying, since the original charge has cleared on my Barclaycard, and I don't like pushing money around when I don't need to.
Anyway, they'd also given me a £15 voucher on the account without telling me, and so to apologise for the refund cockup, that has now been converted into a cheque as well.
£15 for a few hours on hold. Meh.
If you cancel your order with CPW, make sure they put the refund back on the card, rather than waiting for a cheque. They're meant to put it back on the card it came from.
Bring on tomorrow and my trip via Apple Regent Street!

lol pretty much what im gunna do, when my dad gets back, its cancel order from CPW and go to either apple regent street or apple bluewater
Bluewater's my fallback. As you can see from the Apple Store map... there isn't an Apple store anywhere near Bristol yet
However, I happen to be going past Oxford Circus at about noon tomorrow, and also have the opportunity to go to Bluewater on Thursday, so I'm going to give it a shot. I figure it's a far better chance than CPW ever delivering!
BTW, cancelling the CPW order hasn't been quick nor easy, so I'd cancel it now if I were you. Right now, I don't care if they can hand-deliver me a 32GB iPhone in the next five minutes, heralded by angels and kittens: I'm not going to let them have any of my money.
Just off the phone to CPW who still seem confident about getting stock in tomorrow and therefore delivering my iPhone on friday. I'll believe it when I see it though.

I gave up on CPW and went on a wee venture through to the Glasgow Apple store on the train today. Between calling them just before I left work and arriving there they sold out of the black 16GB model but I decided I was actually quite fond of the white one and it means not having to come back to Glasgow or relying on CPW! Now I just need to cancel the order with CPW...So far I've had little luck with that.
For all you waiting on an iPhone from CPW, I'd recommend getting to an Apple store instead if you can. Far more stock, far better customer service, and you get a contract direct with O2 - none of this middleman nonsense. Failing that, I can exuberantly confirm that the iPhone is WELL worth the wait. It's the coolest thing I own...

Finally got one at Apple Regent Street as I mentioned. They'd run out of 16GB Black, so I went for the white instead. I got there at 11.30am today and was out with a working and active phone by 12.50pm, after queueing for most of that time. Far easier than all the hassle with CPW, though.
Received this email about an hour ago, but my status hasn't changed.
BTW Is it just me or is this site REALLY slow tonight? Rest of my sites are fine.
This site is really slow tonight for some reason. When did you order yours, is it still on stage 2. I am hoping my order will fall under the delivery of stock, I ordered in store so haven't received an email
My order has been at stage 2 since the weekend, it needs to change to 3 so I doubt you will have it tomorrow

I hope mine ships soon, mine was ordered Friday morning and was 16gb.
I wonder how much stock they have had of the 16gb
They might leave it.. You never know.
But normally Apple are quite strict about only getting the adressee to sign. Not to leave with neighbours etc.
