Am I the only one wondering why there's no Notes app on the Watch? Seriously, what a dumb omission, especially now that the 7+ have a keyboard. I'd love to have something I could dictate/type to, and have it sync with all my devices. Instead, I've got to use a damn third party app.
I agree. As I workaround with native apps one can use Reminders or even Mail. But Notes would be nicer.

And we all keep ignoring that all of our apps and widgets STILL can’t be placed wherever we want on our home screens. This is like a really weird adaptation of bird box. Why does everyone just keep ignoring this?

If Apple is complaining about the move to USB-C, they really don't have a leg to stand on. Beats uses USB-C, and it's just too easy to just give in and do it, for the users. Having to carry so many cables is sick/sad.

Users should be able to delete the App Library if they want - not just push it to the next page.

I do not ignore it, I just don't care. So, not everyone.

The only way this really becomes viable is if there's evidence a large pool of Android users are willing to pay a monthly subscription fee for access to the iMessage ecosystem. Services revenue would be desirable if there's enough of it. And the Messages experience on iOS will always be the first class one, so you could potentially drive people to buying an iPhone.

With all the Billions of dollars, I think Apple could and should start a software skunkworks for stuff like "weather" apps.

I mean - Just today I can finally send an Email from "Mail" application on Mac with a future timed delivery. I'd love to have real features in the Mail application on Mac, Eudora from c1997 would be a good specification to match. Apple could just throw 20 Million on that and have all the goodness of the best Email application EVER as the next version of "Mail"
They wouldn't touch an email app at this rate. Everything has changed since 1997 and the way we communicate and share files keeps evolving. It would be something to replace Reminders and the Notes apps.

In response to: "I wonder how Craig Federighi feels about lying through his teeth? If only someone called him out on it."

Two posts 39 minutes apart. For wishy-washiness I recommend a nice clean mirror.
I've said it before and it bears repeating, I'm convinced this account is a bot.
TheBotAreaLiving - well it's better than Siri, gotta admit that.

They're nothing new on these Apple interviews, I think these are all planned before what to ask and what not to.
They never asked critical questions to Apple execs ever. Look all the interviews in the past.
But when the same interviewer question MS or Google execs they all go critical.

I just wish Apple would have iMessage in the iCloud web interface, so I could send/reply from a web browser.
If you are on Windows, you can't use iMessage anyway. If you are on Mac, there is a whole app for it. Is there a reason why you prefer the browser?

It would make a difference. It would mean I wouldn't need any other messaging apps on my iPhone or Mac. I could iMessage everyone. So yes it would improve for Apple device experience. We can pretend it would not, but that would be a lie. His answer on this has a distinct smell about it.

I want the typical Apple polish and care on use.

Ok, but what does that even mean, specifically?

Honestly, it's apparent to me that Apple doesn't think designing a calculator app is worth their developers' time. I agree.

What is it that you want a native iPad calculator app to do that no other third party app can?
Well we don’t need the clock the weather the Mail and I could go on, yet apple does make them…..

Seems idiotic to have the app made for iPhone and not for iPad, why do they offer a calculator for the iPhone since there are many as they themselves suggest?
