What is up with safari on my iPad air? Crashing at least 6 times per day with only moderate use. No more than a few tabs open at any given time. Jeez, hope this is not hardware related and apple will produce a software fix soon. Everything else about the device is stellar - weight, screen, speed, etc.

I've reset, power cycled and killed all other background apps with no improvement.

Didn't have these problems with same version of ios 7 on my ipad 3. Anyone else having the same problem?

I've had one BSOD while on Safari but my Air has been flawless since. I've been using it non stop since launch and mostly browsing on Safari. Doesn't seem right that yours is crashing that much.

Yeah, my Safari has crashed once in my first day with the Air. Never had a single incident in nearly a year with iPad 4. :(

Welcome to iOS 7. ;)

Don't blame the air for iOS 7's mixed bag of issues. For whatever reason, it seems to affect some devices and not others. You never know what you're going to get with Apple.

Welcome to the party, pal!

ipad crash every day/

also try going to itunes radio aka shortcut back to the homescreen

returning air until ios 8 is out lol apples shot themself in the foot by releasing ios7 unsabled and 1gb ram well played

Yeah, iOS 7 made Safari start crashing on my old iPad 4 too. They crash more on some websites though, I found a online store which will make my Air crash every time if you try to use the links from drop down menus.

It would be interesting to compare lists of installed and used apps to see if there is a common thread. I have had no crashes at all on my iPad Air. I had one crash on my iPad 2 with the Music app while I was deleting a few songs.

I doubt it is hardware and I am not 100% positive it is solely the fault of iOS 7, but perhaps something else installed that is causing problems.

Another +1.

But I cannot get RR3 to play because it almost looks like I downplayed an app for the size of the Iphone so I'm not sure what the disparity is between the Airs out there.

RR3 only uses the bottom left 1/4 of the display for me

To those experiencing crashes:- are you multitasking a lot with lots of browser tabs?

I never use more than 2 or three apps at any one time and have no more than about 3 browser tabs open either. Never seen a hint of a problem?

For the first few days, I had no crashes at all. But last night Safari crashed several times. Pages with Facebook commenting at the bottom seemed to be the issue for me.

I saw the same problem on a iPad 2 after upgrading to IOS 7. Apple has some work to do to optimize IOS for iPad's. Call support and report this issues so they can logged and documented.

I had one Low Memory log since buying my Air on Nov 2. I was playing a video, while downloading all of my previous apps OTA. I didn't want to restore from my computer for some reason. The video quit playing, but the it was fine once I opened it up again.

It did that to me on first try. I killed all apps, rebooted and been working great ever since.

Only weird thing that's happend was my sound was not working at all on apps, yet notification sounds were working fine. Again, a reboot solved that. Seems like minor iOS 7 issues.

You guys that are getting these crashes....Please send the logs (hopefully you have diags turns on) to the Jailbreak devs! This could help facilitate a jailbreak for our devices! Finding a repeatable crash may help tremendously!

There is definitely issue with Safari. It crashed pretty often. folks who have seen the issue, you need to report this to Apple.

Then how come it's only a vocal minority complaining? It seems only a large number of tabs and many background apps cause this. Just open fewer tabs and it'll be fine.

Multiple, daily crashes here as well. Almost exclusively happening when using Safari or Tapatalk. Had 3 crashes yesterday evening in the course of about 2.5 hours.

3 tabs in Safari has been enough to crash my Air. No other background apps.
