it’s been around for yearsThis game is already free though
I mean, that sounds pathetic (and maybe it is), but these days free apps are LOADED with ads to the point of exhaustion. Crossy road may have been “free” before, but having it be ad free for a very low cost (considering apple one bundles) greatly increases its appeal. Games should be fun, and if that means paying a little more so I don’t have to watch endless, predatory, misleading ads, then I can’t complain! Is Apple Arcade the new disposal zone for retired games?
Same. I too thought Arcade covered AppleTV, iPhone and iPad. Shows you how much I’m using my One membership.Wait… The game was originally for tvOS but this is only iPhone/iPad? I thought all Apple Arcade games were supposed to work on Mac and tvOS as well?
Sadly, not at the local Dave & Busters, where I saw a stand-up arcade version of it that cost tokens to play. (Granted, I'm pretty sure it was one of the games that spit out tickets you could cash in towards prizes afterwards -- but still....)This game is already free though
This one released last Friday:I'd rather see a perfectly emulated collection of all Cave Co, Eighting/Raizing, Taoplan, Psikyo and Konami shooters on Apple Arcade. That would not only make it a real arcade - it would also make me a customer : )

Apple killed it. Aside from very old iOS apps, you can’t really run most things. How does something like this work with native apps? Can you, for example, run a Mac version of Messages next to an iOS version of Messages? I'm still on a (very old) MacBook and have been curious about the Mac-running-mobile-apps thing.
It has loads of microtransactions. It's listed as free but it's not. It is overflowing with pay-to-play and paid unlockables. This game is already free though
I can recommend it, it's fun! The entire level theme changes with the character you select. If it is frogger without that story mode, then I'll play this version of frogger.
Indeed... time I recall my coin-op days and see what I can re-code and relabel... though I guess my first idea of redoing "Space Invaders" as "Illegal Alien Invaders" with a segmented border wall at the bottom would get rejected (FYI in these times I have to say it... I'm *not* serious).Similar?!?! It *is* Frogger. Someone looking for game ideas went back to 1981, saw Frogger, said "I can re-create that" and here we are.
Apple would never put real games in Apple Arcade.I'd rather see a perfectly emulated collection of all Cave Co, Eighting/Raizing, Taoplan, Psikyo and Konami shooters on Apple Arcade. That would not only make it a real arcade - it would also make me a customer : )

For real. I used to pay $25/month for Apple Music family and 2TB iCloud storage. I figured, maybe the other stuff “News, Fitness, Arcade” would be worth the extra $5, but I’ve admittedly not gotten any real use out any of them yet.Same. Same. Compared to what I was paying for 2TB + Music, it is a good value (even if in theory) - I just don’t yet use Fitness (well intended) or Arcade (tho my 7 yo seems to mildly enjoy that Sasquatch game and a few others). While Im not a gamer, Arcade seems pretty entry-level (hence the 7 yo interest and 10 yo disinterest). And I haven’t found News+ has seen any measurable difference from the free version. Could be old user habits at play there, but I’ve just not seen the benefit of paid News. YMMV.For real. I used to pay $25/month for Apple Music family and 2TB iCloud storage.
