If you paid for it entirely by yourself, respect man. I'm 17 myself and am finanically independent. When I see other kids my age buying expensive pieces of equipment like the iPhone, and they're using their parents' money, it erks me to no end.
 
I'm 53. I assumed I would be the oldest guy in line (Fort Wayne, IN) but the people on either side of me were my age or older (some much older) -- and they were just as excited about the the new phone as the "kids." It was fun!

Agreed. There were two kids in line ahead of me (who couldn't have been older than 13) who's parents were buying for them. If you're in high school and can pay for it yourself (the data plan too), more power to you. But I don't think any parents should be buying one for their kid.
 
Im 28. Did all my research online months before it even came out. Let my verizon contract go month to month prior to the iphone release.
