20... nothing wrong with the younger guys sportin an iPhone. I had a T68i at 13 or so, a Razr at 15 or so (day it came out) and an Nokia 8801 at 18.

17 and still trying to convince my parents that it is a good investment of my money (long story short, threatened to take away all financial assistance if I bought an iPhone).

Anyone with ideas let me know, I am putting together a keynote presentation to try and change their oppinions.

All financial assistance vs. iPhone.
60,000k in college loans over 2 years vs. 200k over 2 years
Stop working on your keynote presentation and go to math class.:)

They are not going to just take away from helping me from college, its more they use this threat to make sure I don't go get it. I just don't have the balls to go get it and take the punishment since I really have no idea. It is my money and I will also be paying for the $30 a month that it will cost additionally to the family plan. All I am trying to get from them is permission.

Edit: Its summer, no math for me :)

Yeah you never know what to make out of parents' threats. They might mean it. They might not. Parents are tricky sometimes:)

If it's your money why the hell are your parents saying what you can and can't spend it on?

Because they pay for the family plan, so that gives them leverage. I offered to pay any difference that the iPhone costs but still they say no. At this point all I can think of is they are playing a cruel, cruel trick on me and one day I will find out about it.
