I'd love to do this but I need a new battery. I got mine at launch and use it daily.
Yeah battery wear is real. Fortunately if you're budget-conscious like me getting a battery replaced is much cheaper than getting a new iPad. But I also don't use my iPad daily like you since most of my main work happens on my Mac.

i am sure, logic (and maybe some other pro apps) come to the ipads. Garageband ipadOS received a huge upgrade for improved handling of audio units a few days ago. so - fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Swap batteries, guys. Donˋt keep riding the bandwagon of technological consumerism, which is destroying our live and environment as we speak.

Every new buy is furher along the path of destruction. Apple is so good in pushing this hellish cycle. And now, as others before them, they are stuck in artificial gimmicks as reasons for change.

You want it, but you do not need it.

Fight your urge - donˋt be complacent!

They made too good of an iPad with the Pro 2018, even both the 2020 and 2021 Pros combined is barely anything upgrade wise. Doesn't seem like the 2022 is gonna change this either. Not to say this is a bad thing for us, a bad thing for their sales figures instead lol.

I'm kind of over the iPad at this point. Its great for what it is, but another same design with the same camera setup is a total pass for me. Apple touting the M2 as "x" amount faster than the M1 isn't going to cut it. The M1 iPad is blazing fast as is.

Apple needs to move the camera to the landscape position, or have cameras at both positions. And iPadOS 16 is barely an upgrade over OS 15 imo.

There just isn't much excitement in this space anymore.
They aren’t aiming a new m2 iPad at m1 owners. More likely people like me with a10x or a12x chips in their device.

My 10.5 has white dot screen, degraded battery and is significantly behind on power and approaching end of support.

I’m holding off on an M1 Pro or air at the moment because I know something is sure to drop any week now.

No I get that. I'd just like to see some of those things added to make the iPad a standout device again.
