is there any chance of an announcement tomorrow (during the iphone os 4.0)u think? "Oh, and by the way, the new macbook pros are....."

A friend of mine recently spoke with an Apple representative who told him to expect the new MacBook Pros within the next month or so and that they will be very well worth waiting for.

Not new news, I know, but a little more encouragement anyway.

Oh man. This is becoming quite the joke. Does anyone know anything as to the quality/nature of the screen? I am still holding out for the possibility of IPS screens on the new MBP's!

Wouldn't that be something! With a matte option as well.

I decided that the best way to become patient for the new models is to buy a current MBP, so that's just what I did this week. I'm loving it. And it will hold me well until the new models not only hit the market, but receive a good shakedown evaluation in users hands for a month or two... then I'm going to decide on which of the latest greatest would be best for me and pass my this-week-acquired MBP to my wife. My anxiety level for the new MacBook Pros has just subsided to a nice, quiet sizzle. ;)

Alrighty then...All y'all read the latest blog entries? Looks like we'll get our long-awaited MBP refresh this Tuesday, the 13th.

You're not kidding. I've asked this numerous times, but if Apple can do IPS and LED backlighting on the 9.7" iPad (and boy, can they ever!) besides the 20+" iMac's, why wouldn't it be possible for screen sizes in between? (And yes, of course matte. Is there any other way? ;) )

OMG OMG. FINALY. :apple:
