I utterly despise currys and purchase there if necessary only!

Sometimes it's fun listening to their "experts" the last time I was in there I was talking to the TV section "expert" and he didn't even know what an av receiver was....

After him spending 10mins trying to convince me I needed a hdmi cable of a certain caliber and no amazon one would do I walked out.

One thing to remember is though that Apple will still service the device so it's not the end of the world

In all fairness most of the big Pc world stores have a dedicated area and staff whom work purely on Apple products. I have brought my Macbook there several Ipads and brought a sony camera there yesterday ( i get 10% off there through my works reward scheme (i dont work for them totally diff company))

Yes their staff no F all about Tech, yes you get the warranty bit but i just say "i dont keep products long enough to worry about warranty and im on my way" I returned my first macbook due to wifi issues without any quabble at all, they are not my first choice but they have a huge market base

Ha-Ha, Ha-Ha,
If anyone buys any Apple device from PC-World then I really feel sorry for them. PC-W do not know the meaning of support (And guidance). They are the last place in the world to buy any electronic kit let alone something a sophisticated as an Apple Watch.
For those on the R-H side of the Pond, PC-W is worse than Best-Buy.
The previous comments about warranty are only the tip of the iceberg.

I've had a better experience in PC World recently than my local Apple store where the service is appalling and no improvements after complaing and leaving feedback

Currys tried to sell my girlfriend a 3 year old model Macbook pro as a new retina model. The advisor squirmed when i pointed out that for a start retina models dont have dvd drive and asked him if he wanted me to continue with the differences!

Sorry for this comment, but being sold at Curry's and PC World doesn't have the "elite" feeling that I thought was the intention when the Apple Watch was only to be sold at Apple Stores and select retailers (like Selfridges).
Maybe they'll just sell the sport version?
They only have one Apple Watch code listed?

Currys used used to have a large section dedicated to Apple computers and accessories until around 3 years ago. They didn't sell well as guess what? It's Called PC world/Currys! So they have taken all the huge expensive Apple logos, gear, and entire section out and replaced it with Printers and ink. They sell more of these and make more profit. If Apple and PC word seriously think they will sell these watches there then good luck.

It makes you wonder how Apple can supply all these watches to 3rd parties? Mmm not selling so have huge stock to get rid off? Next we may see them at the local market being sold by a man in a trench coat.. He opens up his coat to show you a selection of Apple watches at knock of prices.

I think it shows they are selling well enough that other companies will only add to their sales.

Recent news said they sold 3 million in 2nd quarter.

Just because its now being sold in the common peoples' most popular UK electrical retailer won't make it any cheaper, more accessible or more desirable. It's still an Apple Watch. If its not been selling over here by now, its not going to sell any better in Currys. By the time it ever gets going the second generation will have come out by which time interest in the wee white elephant will have dwindled even further. Sorry all :-(

PCW/Currys are a load of rubbish, but we need them so we can go and look at the products, they are the one big electrical retailer left in the UK. Without them we would just be looking at pictures online before we buy stuff.

Yes just like the articles saying apple watch wasn't selling well...you can't choose to believe one rumour and not the other.

Where did I say I believe anything? If you read my piece I only say what my thoughts are about the Apple watch and PC/World. I think only you are believing what you read when it comes to ''News''.

Wasn't directed at you, "you" as in the general public who shot down the watch due to reported poor sales when it was all rumour like the 3 million sales in 2nd quarter is

It seems finally ATV is getting an update. Very exciting!
If there is no announcement this site will explode with anger and resentment. It just has been too long.

I can remember at least two other Apple products with the same "been too long" issue:
• Mac Pro
• Mac mini
...this site has exploded a couple of times, trust me!

For anyone who is thinking of purchasing an Apple Watch from Currys/PC World (or ANYTHING for that matter)-prepare yourself for a world of pain and some of THE most atrocious customer service you will ever endure.

Seriously, these guys are the dregs. The staff are clearly paid next to nothing and treated like dirt, they know nothing about the product(s) you enquire about and all they are there to do is "shift boxes" by pointing you at wherever device will earn them the most commission that day.

If there was ever a way for Apple to devalue the Apple/Watch "Experience", selling in C/PCW is it.

You have been warned...

In the stores with Apple departments the staff are employed by Apple UK so will be fully trained to deal with the Watch.
