if i understand this correctly he has android running external with the iphone as a screen? then how come we havn't got any video input on the iphone/ipad yet? that would be perfect

and to those who care about vr if todays phones had video input and maybe usb too (thinking of you usb-c connector) the vr capabillities would be enormous since most phones have a pretty high resolution and especially android have high resolutions. that would make nearly every phone user capable of doing vr. that would be great

but again video input built in the iphone/ipad would be my dream. to use it as external display :)

NO! It's NOT running Android. A computer attached to an iPhone is running Android!
The Windows 95 was actually running on an Apple Watch. This is just a display & touchpad attached to a computer running Android.
It's like saying "My gasonline powered car now runs on diesel" because it is loaded on a truck.

Would Apple removing the app from the App Store be a case of anti-competitive behavior?

Nice. Has anyone seen a way to do this, but instead of android, running a simple hdmi input? Using my iPhone as an hdmi monitor for camera work would save me a lot of space.

There's an app for the iPad that lets you run it as a USB display for a computer. Can't remember the name off hand, and it's not the right output type, but that does indicate that there may be a way.

My God! It is Android running like it does on a high end normal Android phone.
Button presses take a few stabs, delays in scrolling, distinct pause when swiping, dull uninspiring design and layout! All in a super thick ugly case. This guy will soon be richer than Apple.
Genuinely curious. What devices have you used and when? My family is nearly split in half with Android and iOS devices. None of us ever have major complaints about using each others phones beyond my choice of tiny text.

Besides the obnoxious $30 tablet I was given and my old Moto Cliq, I've never seen an Android device run as slow as the one in the video. But as far as devices released within the last 3 years with at least mid-range specs, they are all quite smooth and responsive. My LG G4, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and even emulated HTC HD2 are much quicker and responsive than that. Not perfect mind you, but my iPad has definitely quit apps unexpectedly and rebooted more often than my phone. I usually have issues with it taking forever to bring up the keyboard, open the app switcher, populating the Siri suggested apps/search screen. My fiancée's Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 also run pretty darn well. In fact her phone keeps up with my G4 most days in the launcher.

As far as dull design, that is the design from 4.1-4.3 which first released in 2012. Starting with 4.4 (2013) we got a much nicer looking design that has already changed again with 5.0-6.0. I will agree that the old design is dull, but it is in no way the same today. The case was just to house a proof of concept and make it portable, it is not a manufacturing design. (As a side note, I think it's kind of funny that it has the same general layout as Apple's battery case)
