You don't get it. Making NFC payments ubiquitous using a standard such as Apply Pay will be impossible if individual retailers deny those forms of payment. Fragmented payment forms will be really annoying. It's like if McDonald's stopped taking Visa, but took MC or Discover.

No I get it.. you don't get it.. the world doesn't stop cuz a store doesn't accept NFC payments.

In a business with low margins high fee cards such as AMEX or Diners Club are not widely accepted. In many cases it just not the fees but how efficiently they process the payments. I've been lead to believe that Visa and MasterCard are processed faster then cards such as AMEX. With the lower fees of Visa and MasterCard it's easy to understand why those cards are more widely accepted.

Regarding Apple pay it would be interesting to know how it compares to regular "plastic fees" and how efficiently it is processed.
VISA and MC partnered with Apple on ApplePay. LMAO! It's not about cost. It's about companies getting your personal data.

It's a good thing Apple Pay users have nothing else in life.

You know, even Steve Jobs would be ashamed of his flock at this point.

Are you already dead? Do you reside in the grave next to Steve's? Do you share deep personal relations with Steve? How do you know what he would and wouldn't be ashamed of?

Your posts and drivel is dripping in the proverbial crock s***...

Boy this all sounds like iPhone 6 users are mad that they can't use a feature on their phone. If u had an iPhone 5 would you complain this much? Be honest with yourself.

No you don't get it. No one said anything about the world stopping.

It's about the money stopping...

People have thrown down their gauntlet and will stop shopping and I think this will stick. People who don't care that much will continue shopping as normal and the people who do will adjust their shopping habits. When every company is after your dollars people have options to shop at NFC enabled places.

It's not only about iPhone 6 users - its also stops Google Wallet and any other service that can use NFC technology..

No I get it.. money isn't stopping. People will continue to use credit cards. Only NFC users will throw an tantrum while adults will just use another form of payment and go about their day .

They need to keep telling themselves its just about ApplePay so they can justify their lousy arguments.

Actually, as an adult, I'm making a conscientious decision to support merchants I feel offer better service and give those merchants my money. It's not a tantrum at all, it's a completely rational approach. It's worth it for me to go to Walgreens where I know I can use a more secure payment method, so that's what I'll do. The only effective way to voice displeasure with a business is to not give them your money.

Sure.. but we are in an apple forum and most users complaining are iPhone users.

You will be surprised how many people who troll here are not 'Apple' users.....

As this is an Apple forum, as you state, it is obvious people will complain about not being able to use Apple Pay... You won't have Android members coming on here complaining about Google Wallet... I suspect Google Wallet users are moaning about this exact same thing in their own forums....

The point is not whether you have 3gs, or 4 or 4s or 5 or 5s or any other iPhone which may or may not be able to use Apple Pay. The point is if there is a safe and secure technology available to use right now, why would you switch it off?? Even if only few million people can use it out of hundreds of millions, why would you switch off?

Instead of being annoyed at the companies who are depriving people to pay with their Apple Pay or Google Wallet or whatever else, there seems to be a lot of anger spewed at Apple users.. Doesn't make sense.

The money will stop flowing from people who want to use NFC for payments if they insist on it and it's their right to insist on it. That's the bottom line.

Adults have control of what their money is doing and how it is being spent and what forms of payment they want to use. Adults care about their money and their security and their information.

Children get angry and worked up when other consumers exercise their right to avoid businesses that don't accept the form of payment those other consumers want to use.

What I am saying is you shouldn't care so much about other people who don't want to shop at non NFC payment enabled drug stores. That's their right. Going around and getting angry at other people exercising their right to spend their money how they see fit is silly. Its not even your place. When you start paying their bills you can have a say about what other people are doing with their money and how they chose to spend it.

Sounds like you're angry... calm down bro!

Don't quit ur day job.. not angry at all.. the only anger here is the people boycotting a business that changed their mind on NFC payments.

No one is angry. End of day money is spent on the purchase of goods. You really think most people care about how its paid? if they did you would see massive protests outside cvs. Its really simple, select another payment type and move on. No need to create movement becuz a store took away NFC payments .

it won't hurt CVS financially if some people start going to other drug stores with apple pay or google wallet. they have their own priorities, just as all of you boycotting them have yours.

Why should be the customer to adapt to the store's whims? They're free not to support Apple Pay and I as customer am free to just as easily select a different store which supports the payment type I like.
