According to a guy in reddit who has posted screenshots, the game has 2 vieeo modes on Xbox Series X:

Performance(default): 60fps at a dynamic resolution up to 4k.
Graphics: 4k/30fps

I think both consoles have that mode.

I'm probably going to pre-order it so, it will download fairly early on. I'll be getting it on the PC, though this was the game that would have pushed me to a PS5, except there's none to be had ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Then realizing that with christmas, coming up, I need to take care of my family with presents instead of myself

Developer update on steam posted we can pre-download at 8am PST on the 7th (Monday). Game will be active to play on the 9th (Thursday) 4pm PST. Not getting excited yet... until I see my computer pre-downloading.

I am so envious of this! I'm going to force myself to go to bed early because if I launch it at midnight there's not going to be much sleep going on for work the next day.

Now I feel bad to correct my last post. It's actually Wednesday 4pm PST when it will be active. Sorry, I'm not rubbing it in... I know how you feel. But anyway, I said the game will be active to play at 4pm PST. I didn't say I would play it at that time. I work that day... so you might be playing it before me. I do have Thursday and Friday off.

I am impressed that 60fps will be available from start. Nvidia support is clearly top notch because they worked closely with Nvidia.

The next gen update will likely include full RDNA 2 which only launched last month in the new ATI cards and Series X.

Interesting video (no spoilers). The Witcher 3 was the longest I ever spent playing a single player game and I still had optional content uncovered. Sounds like Cyberpunk is going to be the same.

So I just heard on a podcast, be careful clicking on reviews for ‘Cyberpunk’, as apparently some of these gamers are divulging major plot points and ‘alternative endings.’ In other words, I would avoid reading all reviews unless it’s from a legit source like IGN or a Gamespot, being this is something that’s just starting trending today.

I stopped reading reviews for video games years ago, I use my own analysis and only those I would actually trust. Just use caution clicking on ‘unknown links or sources’ you’re not aware of.

I have enough information personally and at this point there's little reason for me to watch anything and the game's release is immanent so I can wait

The part of my post that you snipped, you also intentionally left out when I said “I stopped reading reviews years ago”,(Meaning past titles) I wasn’t referring just to Cyberpunk. Obviously the reviews aren’t released yet, but my point was, there’s people who are maliciously trying to ruin experience for others by hiding plot points into these click bait reviews, which is why I suggested to stick to known sources and use caution. [The same thing happened with Red Dead Redemption 2.]

Same here. I have satisfactory levels of insights into what the game is and how I should approach it.

I look forward to Thursday as I haven't used my console since Wednesday last week because "gamer's thumb". My right thumb as probably strained for when I played Ryse the Son of Rome, think lots of aggressive and repetitive sword fights. 😌

The slower pace of Cyberpunk will be good for my thumb as I won't be smashing a,b,x and y during bralws every 2 min.

I actually bought it for the PC, and I'm yeah I'm anxious to do something different. I've been playing Fallout 76 pretty consistently and that was fun for different reasons but I'm tiring of the grind that Bethesda put in place.

I was looking to get a PS5 and have this game for that, but I'm not sure I'm wanting to spend 500 dollars on a console when my PC does everything I want it too.

As for the game, as I said I'm now in the video avoidance mode, and just sitting tight :)

PC performance and visuals will be best, especially of you have an RTX enabled graphics card.

The now consoles are brilliant value, especially if you like to play while on the couch. However PC will continue to have a big upper hand in performance with all bells and whistles on.

Yeah, I have a fairly recent Razer that's awesome, and I also have that hooked up to an egpu, with a RTX 2060 super.

The flexibility of the PC is one reason why I like playing on that but I have a new 4k TV and the PS5 would look awesome on that :)

The Witcher 3 had multiple endings and the quests that could cause them weren't that obvious at the time you made some choices.

I hear you on reviews. I usually like Eurogamer but they called Ghost of Tsushima "clunky" and that might be my GotY.

There's several PS exclusives that I have to have, although some of them such as Horizon Zero Dawn made it to PC a few years later.

This is why I have watched Cyberpunk videos. Before playing such a big and complex game I thought it would be useful to understand:
-How to approach gameplay
-Whether watching cut scenes is as important as playing.
-The life paths available.
-Whather my actions and choices have consequence.

The flexibility of the PC is one reason why I like playing on that but I have a new 4k TV and the PS5 would look awesome on that :)
During the past months I have bought a gaming monitor and a new TV. When mouse and keyboard are required, the monitor is great for focusing. However some games are simply much more immersive and beautiful on the telly.

Well... it's happening...

The long wait is almost over... We will all be playing Cyberpunk 2077 this week...:)

Planning to use KBM the whole game, but I have my Xbox controller active if needed...

Here's how the digital rewards can be claimed. If you don't already have a GoG account now's the time to create one. I like how you get free Gwent goodies also for buying Cyberpunk.

Having watches a few reviews, here are the takeaways:

-The game is awesome.

-There are numerous of visual bugs.

-Your choices in dialogues and side quests have consequences not just for your story but also for the development of other characters. Basically, three of us could play the game but progress to different paths and not even be offered the same side questions.

-The main campaign is roughly 20h long, excluding completions of all side quests.

I know it sounds trivial, but I really want the ‘steel book’. It sounds like it’s only like a while supplies last type of thing, according to Best Buy, they don’t guarantee that you actually will receive one with your order, depending which number you are in line.

Also, I opted not to purchase this one for the PS5, I wanted to see the performance on the Xbox SX.

(Oh, and I’m doing curbside pick up, which lessens my chances of getting one.)
