Cydia/SSH Fix for Facetime+MMS Disappearance (For existing JB'rs)

  1. Cydia
  2. Go to Manage
  3. Go to Source
  4. Add
    HTML: 
    http://iphonedelivery.advinux.fr/cydia
  5. Hit Done
  6. Go to the repo
  7. Install the only package listed
  8. Reboot
  9. Go to settings -> Phone -> FaceTime option should be there. (Check messages settings for MMS)
  10. If this works, you owe me a date with a hot asian chick. mk? kthx

Didn't seem to work at first, but I reset my network settings and then it was fine. Thanks!
 
Wow.. much easier than what I did..

1. Install stock 4.0.1
2. Disconnect the phone when it reboots the last time so it won't ask you to set up as new/old
3. Run jailbreakme.com in the browser
4. Hook up phone and restore it as from a pre-Jailbroken backup.

Works for Facetime but not MMS unless I am missing something.

I had to to flip the switch under the messaging settings on and off again. This caused the MMS button to show back up.

Its okay, I lost my recent backups beforehand so you're not the only one. Only lost a few photos I would have liked to keep on there but I'm slowly getting over it.

Stupid iTunes deleted the pre-jailbreak backup I took. It magically deleted it and replaced it with a post jailbreak one. I had to rip the old backup out of my Time Machine.

I hate some of the things iTunes does. Half the time I'll hook up my iPhone and it will try to sync all the apps on my computer. Other times it just syncs as usual.

Sadly I dont have a TM backup.
 
I never lost FT or MMS. Weird. I did a update to 4.0.1 and backup right before JB though
