New form factor? That is an odd statement for a watch. In Earth's past, we have had two watch form factors. A pocket watch and a wrist watch. I wonder if Apple will introduce a third innovated place for this time piece?

I have a Mac, iPhone, iPad, and now AirPods, but still feel no desire, or see a need for, an AppleWatch. My iPhone is always at hand and my schedule isn't all that packed that I need to save seconds getting back to me. Plus, I like my Sub.

Round would be great. Two sizes like now. At least one of them (the larger) having a more masculine look would be even greater. Really don't care about LTE one way or the other.

If They offered a 44 MM brushed Space gray stainless watch, consider me sold on day one.

With the watch? Seems to me it's still a little on the fat side, like the iPhone was before the 4 (and the iPad before the 2).

Thin enough - more battery would allow always-on screen and an app store for watch faces. Rather have those than have the watch be a little thinner.

I highly doubt this rumor. I don't forsee the Apple Watch changing physically for Series 3. I'm for changes, but I see Apple retaining the current form factor at least through one more generation of the Apple Watch before we see a major overhaul.

One thing seems certain, Apple will retain the band port, as they executed the band switching perfectly.

Well we'll find out soon. You've been telling me I've been out of my gourd for suggesting Apple would switch things up with AW this year. I'm glad to see Gruber in this camp too since he's more connected to Apple than anyone here. I don't think he's just looking for headlines here. Again, we'll see, but I'll be especially excited if there is a change and it is round.
It's time for Apple to add some true diversity to the line, not just mix and match bands and different case colors.

Oh, good! The way it looks is a large reason I didn't bother the first two times. That and the fact that it barely does anything. I have to admit, I look at people weird when I see they have one. Seems like a waste of money until it does more and maybe relies less on the presence of your iPhone.

Seriously apple you have so much money and u make the best products and I love iPhone but u guys need to stop keeping the same design for more than 1 year the iPhone 8 looks exactly like the 6

I agree. I think diversity is needed for the Apple Watch to expand to a further demographic who's not interested in a rectangular design. I for one like the current design, but would also appreciate anround design if that's offered. I don't have interest in LTE, but I do have interest in cosmetic upgrades. Perhaps additional casing color options as well.

Some would argue that mag safe was a perfect execution of charging. They axed that for a far less superior design.

Three year cycles of the same hardware design are not a good idea going forward, imo.

Hope they do keep the same bands, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker unless you bought a band to match every outfit, these last 2 generations.

Thin enough - more battery would allow always-on screen

An always-on screen would require a massive upgrade to the battery. Probably not feasible even if the entire device were twice as thick. It was possible with the Pebble due to the e-ink display technology, but for a color, animated display, that's basically not an option with current technology.

Don't hold your breath.

and an app store for watch faces.

I don't see what those have to do with battery life at all. The most likely reason they're not happening is that Apple doesn't want it happening at all because they're not really great proponents of heavily customizable UI. Less likely: they're planning on it, but it hasn't been a high priority.
