Wow! The remote app looks a billion times better! I love the darker colours and the subtle transparency. It looks a lot cleaner without all the text crammed at the bottom too.

Apple what are you doing?! Why can't this remote interface replace the current Music app? It's SO much better.

Unfortunately, I think the music.app interface will stay white/pink while the remote.app interface will stay dark/transparent so that users will know which app they're in at first glance. No doubt, there would be confusion among some if both shared the same interface.

Too bad the better looking interface will likely remain in the app used less frequently.

Comming from a dark Android-world where my phones menu were nothing than pitch black, I am more than happy to see this white, shiny, and most of all happy background on my iPhone 5S. It looks bright, clean and it doesn't feel depressing either like my Android-phone. It's like you lived in a cave for some years and suddenly see the light for the first time. And it feels fantastic.

Even if this phone would have choosable black menubackground in the settings, I would never choose it. That's why I hoped that Android-phones also had bright background, but they don't. And I'm not sure if it's even possible to fix that with a root.

So guys, be happy for this. Once you've been in that dark cave you'll want nothing but light. ;)

Even if they insist on keeping the colours the same, I can accept that. But its not just the colours that are better in the remote app, the entire layout is!

In the music app, why waste the entire upper space just to show "1 of 14"?! It's such a waste of space. They should bring the title and album back up there and make the lower half less crammed. Also, they should return the "repeat" and "shuffle" toggles to being buttons again, instead of text which looks out of place.

Another thing I found hilarious is how the scrubber on the remote app is 100% silky smooth with no skipping, even though its streaming over WiFi. Meanwhile, moving the scrubber on my phone with my own songs on the device is awful! It's so jumpy and it skips A LOT.

Oh Apple... how did they even manage that? Surely you'd think the opposite would be true.

Has anyone seen the iOS 7 FaceTime app? It's absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous black background with white lettering. I never use it so I just noticed it.

I would post a screen shot, but my sleep / wake button is broken so I can't take a screen shot.

Hopefully Apple follows suit with the rest of iOS 7!

Given how iOS 7 was designed, it should be (relatively) easy to make this possible. Would it not be just assigning different colors? They do it pretty well with maps.

Also, I think Jony and Craig are more likely to listen to people than Steve and Scott were. Given that this wouldn't be too difficult of a feature to implement, creating a petition may actually do us good.

Edit: Here's a mockup I did a while ago. What I find very interesting is that all of those vibrant colors that it uses, Work just as well against white vs. black. I think that was probably intentional. The more I think about it, I'd be surprised if we don't see this by iOS 8 (but i'd rather 7.1).

I support this movement.

I don't see a point in a "dark" iOS 7 theme. The design is so atrocious overall in almost every respect that replacing blinding white chrome with dark chrome won't help.

It would help, it just wouldn't solve all or even most of the issues.
