While the idea of making this easier to make widgets seems good, the fact that for the most part the dashboard widgets stay hidden makes them just a 'meh' to me. I mostly use the calculator.

If they made a way to stick them on the desktop , now that would be useful.

You can. Select a Widget, hold on it with your mouse. Hit your dashboard button. Magic! :eek: No need to open Dashboard to use it. Only problem is it floats over all the applications not below them. But... still cool
 
Does anyone know how to edit the menu items in the pop up menu button?

Don't you have to edit a file for that to work though? It doesn't work for me, I thought I remember a plist edit through Terminal or something.

Yes, see the link in Post #41 for the Terminal command. Alternatively, a number of the maintenance/tweaking apps like TinkerTool have a tick box to enable this.
