Yep. Just you.Am I the only one laughing at the picture of a Milanese loop (a girls band if ever there was one), a Mickey Mouse face, strapped to a seriously hairy arm? To each his own, I guess.

My daughters sport edition finally came today and glad I made the decision to purchase the stainless steel.
Sorry to the sports edition buyers but in my opinion it looks and feels like a knock off to what the stainless is.
The SS just looks better and feels better. Heavier for sure.
The crown on hers also feels very plastic like.
For runners and such I could see why owning since lighter. I would definitely worry about scratching the sides.
I would also like to add my wrists are not huge and the 42mm is definitely the way to go. Her 38mm is tiny and meant for extremely small wrists.

The pictures aren't flattering but honestly the Sport isn't that bad in the flesh.
Let's be honest, it is the "sensible" option if you don't want to invest heavily in a Gen 1 product that clearly is going to have some growing pains.
I personally love the look of the 7000 series aluminum on my silver sport, has a nice luster to it without showing any fingerprints. Not sure how the crown feels like plastic to you, definitely feels like aluminum to me.
But I agree for the size, 42mm is for men.
Are you the only one here still flogging this "42 is for men" line? Grow up!
I'm 6ft, 45 inch chest, size 12 feet and built like an athlete (I'm a male model) and have 195mm wrists, but I wear a 38mm purely as it looks much better - based on my personal taste.
It boils down to whether you want a bigger looking 'smart watch' look, or a smaller 'watch' look.
Some people just have no taste - or would let popular opinion choose for them rather than make their own choices. We all can be in the mood for a fitted, tailored shirt just as much as wanting to wear a baggy casual 'day off' shirt...but personally I like my watches to fit correctly and discretely. Male/female vs watch size should really die right now. Do you also think pink clothing eg. a t-shirt or Liking cut flowers, espressos and shedding a tear at a film is only something women can wear/have/do? Or perhaps you just like to stir up arguments with your bold claims. Open your mind a little.

I understand the reluctancy to pay for an Apple Watch considering its a little pricey but to say that the watch will only last 1 year is pretty inaccurate. These watches are very durable and the components don't need very many internal upgrades since they don't have any heavy computing. Its also unlikely that Apple realeases gen 2 next year. It will most likely have a longer upgrade cycle.

I like the matte finish of the SG, that's the main reason.
people need to realize that Apple watch is NOT a handcrafted time-piece. It's not going to last you for decades. It's a simple, replaceable electronics that won't last you any more than 1 years (80% of people will get gen 2 next year).
so in that spirit, I will gladly take my cheap "knock-off" and save myself $250. Frankly, it's hard to justify paying 60% more for a case
