It's almost as if different people have different needs, and opinions on style, fit, and materials!
Am I the only one laughing at the picture of a Milanese loop (a girls band if ever there was one), a Mickey Mouse face, strapped to a seriously hairy arm? To each his own, I guess.
And what is your wrist size please? #My daughters sport edition finally came today and glad I made the decision to purchase the stainless steel.
Sorry to the sports edition buyers but in my opinion it looks and feels like a knock off to what the stainless is.
The SS just looks better and feels better. Heavier for sure.
The crown on hers also feels very plastic like.
For runners and such I could see why owning since lighter. I would definitely worry about scratching the sides.
I would also like to add my wrists are not huge and the 42mm is definitely the way to go. Her 38mm is tiny and meant for extremely small wrists.

I ordered a SS w/ BSB
If it's something you wear on your body and rely on & look at dozens of times a day for an entire year (or more), then it's not too difficult to justify paying more for a more aesthetically pleasing device. When you're using a product for such an extended period of time, I think it's wise to allocate a little extra money in the short-term to make it the most pleasant and rewarding experience you can make it in the long-term (within your budget of course).
Could people please stop using this abbreviation? Can't tell if you mean the black sports band or the blue one.![]()
The 38mm in my opinion is the size I would want(even from your photos)
When I looked at all the mechanical watches I wore daily, they resembled the 38mm size. I have a few oversized watches and I don't wear them because they are too big, so for that reason I ordered the 38.
When I tried on the sport vs the stainless I liked the weight of the stainless, and it felt more substantial. That and you can get better bands that won't corrode the aluminum.
Really the sports is for those that don't want to break the bank and have the exact same features as the others. If apple releases AWs or AW2 in less than 2 years with even more battery life and better features then they will be the ones laughing.
80%... really???? what is this based on? No apple product has that kind of renewal rate. There's no way you could know this without knowing features of the new watch and buying habits of AW owners (how often they renew other apple electronics).
I, for one, am happy I paid the extra £250 for the SS even if its just for a year. It works out to roughly 70p per day over a year to have something I, personally, much prefer the look of.
But in reality all of the conversations are dumb... each to their own, its a personal choice and I'm sure many people actually prefer the sport look to the SS look.
didn't go back to the store... but is SS with blue sport band even an option without buying the band separately? i'm pretty sure black and white are the only options for buying the stock watch? so BSB means BLACK in all cases.
Whoa its a 250 quid difference between the aluminum and SS? That's a travesty seeing that it's only a 250 CAD difference and 1 GBP = 1.85ish CAD.
Are you the only one here still flogging this "42 is for men" line? Grow up!
I'm 6ft, 45 inch chest, size 12 feet and built like an athlete (I'm a male model) and have 195mm wrists, but I wear a 38mm purely as it looks much better - based on my personal taste.
It boils down to whether you want a bigger looking 'smart watch' look, or a smaller 'watch' look.
Some people just have no taste - or would let popular opinion choose for them rather than make their own choices. We all can be in the mood for a fitted, tailored shirt just as much as wanting to wear a baggy casual 'day off' shirt...but personally I like my watches to fit correctly and discretely. Male/female vs watch size should really die right now. Do you also think pink clothing eg. a t-shirt or Liking cut flowers, espressos and shedding a tear at a film is only something women can wear/have/do? Or perhaps you just like to stir up arguments with your bold claims. Open your mind a little.
ITT: everyone tries to justify their purchases by putting down other watch owners. It's just a ****ing smart watch. Let's go to the iPhone forums an make fun of the people who bought 6+'s because there so big.

It's hard to take a guy who bought the Milanese strap seriously, I think it's a feminine band in my opinion. Perhaps if I see it in person I'll feel different about it.
I'm still deciding which to buy,
I work on track in the rail industry and what with all the dirt and grime I'm exposed too I'm not sure which to get and even if it's worth wearing it for work.
Your thoughts are most welcome on this

If Apple is setting the new standard with the 42mm Watch, I don't think I'm interested in that fashion trend.
