Expercom is also offering free shipping to customers in the United States, and provides a three to seven business day shipping estimate for most orders. For those who haven't ordered from Expercom before, the company is an Apple reseller offering all of Apple's latest products, usually at slightly discounted prices.

AirPods Max feature Active Noise Cancellation technology and the same Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ, and spatial audio features that are in the AirPods Pro. For charging, the headphones come with a Smart Case made out of a soft material that puts AirPods Max in an ultra low-power state to preserve battery charge when not in use.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

Still far too expensive. These are £549 in the UK, more than half a grand!

I'd adjust the pricing across the board, all the AirPods are overpriced especially now bluetooth headphones are more commonplace.

AirPods - £99 (currently £159)
AirPods Pro - £199 (currently £249)
AirPods Max - £349 (currently £549)

For some comparison:
HomePod mini - £99 (current price)

I just don't see selling well at their price point, no matter how "good" they are. Homepod Max was sold largely on its vaunted sound quality and there were few biters, even after the price was dropped.

Lots of things bug me with this product. The dumb case and no proper off button, battery is too hard to change, doesn't fold compactly for travelling.

For general use, most people are pretty happy with their good Airpods Pro

For everyone comparing HomePod and AirPods Max, the second one was launched when the decision to discontinue the first one was surely taken, so I’m fairly confident Apple set the right price.

I agree totally. Apple products are incredibly overpriced, but while they are selling at high prices, as a business, why would you drop the prices?

I usually just buy the latest Apple products 2 years later, when the prices are more reasonable :)

Currently rocking an iPhone 7 Plus and Series 4 AW. :)

Currently using AirPods Max. Bought an open box from Best Buy. I love them, but the $499 I paid (open box) is still too much, and they are going back tomorrow. Hopefully these get some actual discounts over the summer or in November for Black Friday. $449 would be fine.

The build quality, materials, and technology is better than the $350 Bose and Sony (sound is subjective), so a $100 premium to cover the better materials, ease of use and apple tax isn’t unreasonable, remember AirPods and AirPods Pro are more expensive than their competitors anyway.

I have to admit, every time something new is announced, you always have people that say 'this price is going to kill Apple, I will just wait for it to go lower.' Makes me chuckle as Apple's prices rarely decrease enough to be significant to me. This $30 decrease, is this what people are waiting for to make it worthwhile? I would rather have enjoyed my pair for the last 6 months as I did.

But you actually bring up a good example, Apple watches DO get discounted significantly. The phones not so much. HomePod yes (and we see how that ended lol). I actually picked up an Apple Watch series 6 for my wife at a 25% discount. So okay sir, you might be right about waiting 2 years and lowering costs. You have more discipline than I do!

$549 to $548.99 - "all-time low price"
I saw this happen in a Circuit City way back a long time ago. A lady ripped off the “sale” price tag, then went off on the poor floor guy “What kind of sale price is 2 cents off?!” Too funny, though I did feel bad for the powerless floor guy who was stuck listening to her rant.

Here's a prediction. Apple will throw in some headphones for "free" for a back to school promo this summer. People will be able to purchase the Max for like $100 more. Shortly thereafter, many Maxes will end up on eBay, that will end up selling for around $350 - $400 NIB. That seems to be the sweetspot where the masses actually start dishing out money for higher end wireless cans.

I can't help but be amazed that they stop selling their HomePods which were fantastic quality, but expensive, at $299 and didn't sell enough. Then they launch headphones for almost twice the price. Granted they sound great but this is even more overpriced than the HomePods.
But maybe i am off and there is a huge market for high priced headphones. Although i remember when Bose came out with their best headphones and they were $299 and considered way too expensive although a lot of business travellers got them. I guess we will see in 6-12 months if they were a success or not.
