Reviewers totally missed the point of the case design. Cases that provide more protection for travel or throwing into a commuter bag are not as accessible and don't allow you to charge the headphones inside the case. So Apple put the priority on ease of use. The case they provided is intended to be used around the house and it works well for that.As for the case, I did end up buying an external case (Wiwu? ) but the much maligned case it comes with is not as bad as reviews would make you believe.. They are easy to shove in/out of unlike the full case i got - so the external case is now reserved only for travel.
I agree. These aren't getting a next-gen release. I suspect you'll see them discontinued and replaced with something with a cheaper build.I suspect that these are the next HomePod. Suddenly discontinued for lack of sales
I don’t think so. Other retailers are not discounting so heavily, unless they’re trying to get close to or match Amazon. I think Amazon is just trying to capture as many sales as possible — they missed targets last quarter, so I suspect we will see a sales blitz over the next month across most categories initiated by Amazon. The fact that it was discounted heavily in the first year means sales are a dud
I think you need that $19 cleaning cloth to clean up that mess you just left. Her videos are so cringeworthy.
Apple brilliantly solving problems that only they created. I am still holding slim hope that they will brilliantly solve this problem of no jacks in phones, and put in one of these amazing high tech jacks with automatic headphone impedance detection. I present to you, the Apple iPhone Audio Pro 14, now with the jack, only $2999!It's the Apple effect.
$500 Headphones? Yeah, that's normal. $400 headphones, down from $500. Hot deal!
No ports on your laptop? Yes, you don't need them! Now there are real ports like HDMI and SD card slot. Hot deal!
Have owned them since they were first released and have had zero issues with them. Best headphones I’ve ever owned.Do they still have the charging issues? Quinn from Snazzy Labs said the other day that he was on his fourth replacement pair in under a year, all for the same issue. Lots of relies to his tweet made it sound like this is a fairly common issue.

Is Amazon the actual seller, or is it from a third party via Amazon? Just wondering?BEWARE: The Space grey color is NON RETURNABLE! They sent me defective ones and now Amazon is refusing to return them.
Amazon was the seller. New or used they're "non returnable" according to the 3 different folks I talked to on the phone. Is Amazon the actual seller, or is it from a third party via Amazon? Just wondering?
That doesn’t sound right at all. Basically if you buy from Amazon everything is returnable (especially defective items). Try different departments at Amazon, & play CSR (Customer Service Roulette - keep calling until you get a yes we can representative ). Why are they saying they can not be returned or refunded? Try taking them into an Apple store if that doesn’t work. Finally I’d all fails, dispute the charge to your credit card company (you did use a credit card right?).Amazon was the seller. No they don’t. Fixed quite awhile ago.Do they still have the charging issues? Quinn from Snazzy Labs said the other day that he was on his fourth replacement pair in under a year, all for the same issue. Lots of relies to his tweet made it sound like this is a fairly common issue.
I know, it does sound unbelievable. I've had nothing but good experiences with amazon. until now. If you look at the return policy for the Space Gray color, it says unless its defective, they won't return it. They need something from Apple in writing that they're broken. Such a hassle. The other colors you can return until Jan 31st. I tried calling 3 times and got the same answer each time. At least they're consistent. That doesn’t sound right at all. If defective you should probably ship them to Apple and ask them for a refund. If it’s just a fit issue for your head (which I don’t understand as these are the most adjustable headphones I’ve used) you could probably resell them for a small profit.I know, it does sound unbelievable. They're forcing me to go through Apple or an authorized service provider. I don't live near an Apple store. They don't fit my head very well anyway I just wanted to return them.
That’s an aggressive way to put it but yes, I did misread the tweet yesterday and fail to recall it word-for-word before asking a simple question. God forbid someone makes a mistake on something as important as an Apple rumour forum on the internet. That’s not what he said, please don’t lie.
He said that he was on his third replacement, he did not say that all three replacements were for the same issue.
His latest pair experienced the charging issue:
And just beneath this tweet, he explains that his previous repair was due to a Bluetooth issue:
So that’s all the data we have. Second replacement was a Bluetooth issue, third replacement was a charging issue.
Not the same issue, “charging” and “Bluetooth” are two different things.
As for why he chooses to stick with them:
People really don’t like to read before they post, or even read what they are posting
Sam's is now out of blue and space grey.Got space grey today in store pickup from Target for $408.98 using Price Match to Amazon and Sam's Club via chat last night. $429.98 - 5% redcard = $408.98.
Using them right now. Enjoying so far...But agree the case is a joke...
I think in time, if you use the case, you will find it to be practical, convenient, and perfectly suited to it’s task. I love my case, it just works. I also like the minimalist design (despite the mockery online), it’s beautiful.Got space grey today in store pickup from Target for $408.98 using Price Match to Amazon and Sam's Club via chat last night. $429.98 - 5% redcard = $408.98.
