I don't own a MBP, but why do people hate the Touch Bar so much??

The only problem I've had with it personally is accidentally hitting it when I'm typing numbers or special characters. Other than that it works fine.

I really wish 3rd party app developers would take advantage of the Touch Bar, but now that we have news that Apple is sacking it, developers have even less incentive than before. The only apps that make good use of the Touch Bar are from Apple.

It may sound like a ridiculously low amount of ram from a power-user’s / enthusiast’s perspective, but most of “common” users, like students and businessmen, who the low-cost M1s are marketed for, find 8gb to be more than enough for their needs. My brother is in uni and him and most of his peers run MacBooks from 2013/2014 with 4gb of ram. 8gb for that demographic is a future-proof amount.
For a daily document driver 8GB/256GB is fine for me.
