From TD website:
Products and packaging depicted may differ from stock available at the time of shipment. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to substitute equivalent items if available. If an error is made and a product is listed at an erroneous price or shown as available when it is not, we may, at our sole discretion, refuse or cancel any such orders processed as a result of such error, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law

Also: Apple Computer Products. Apple products are non-returnable
I expect cancellation because ordering an M2 iPP and receiving an M1 iPP is illegal. Now a person receiving a different color than what was ordered is considered okay.

The bottom of the page states “not responsible for typographical errors” — wouldn’t this fit into that category?
All companies do that especially supermarkets because of printed flyers or website errors. Some companies might honor a few and take a huge loss but not when they have orders in thousands, possibly tens of thousands if this hit places like Slickdeals.

Well I was just able to order a 12.9" M2 iPad Pro for $555 plus tax and $10 shipping. Total cost was $605 and I used Amazon Pay. I just received TD order confirmation and just now Amazon emailed me with a payment request from TD.
Same experience here. Amazon Pay emailed me to say that I haven’t been charged yet and will be once they’ve finished processing the order. So who knows.

This has been coming back to me all day. Something about it doesn’t sit right with me - such massive discounts. I almost pulled the trigger a few times on that beautiful yellow iPad 10 256GB, but I just can’t do it.

I sincerely hope you all get these deals. There are some incredible (like literally “unbelievable”) prices on their website!

Likewise. I just bought a 256 GB M1 iPad Air at Best Buy for $650 (they had a sale going at the time). I could easily afford it, even the deal on the M2 MacBook Air they have, but it just doesn’t sit well with me. I hope these aren’t stolen products or something…

So many people in here crying about Best Buy. Who cares what they’re saying. This ‘sale’ is at TigerDirect. Order from them. If it’s an error, it’s an error and our orders get cancelled. But by trying to take advantage of another business over it is ridiculous.

It’s an obvious error so of course they’re not going to price match.

I jumped on this very early. I got a M2 MBP with 24GB ram ($950), 2022 MBA ($715), M2 12.9 iPad Pro ($555) and the new 10.9 iPad ($255). I got it all price matched. Lol. I don't even need all of it and will be giving it away as birthday gifts.

I’m not crying about Best Buy. I said I bought mine on Tuesday when they had another sale. I was happy to get an iPad Air for $650. This ”sale” isn’t real and these orders will be cancelled.

Everything out of stock now… I grabbed an iPad Air, but wish I would have known about the iPad pros as well. Even though it’s probably going to get cancelled.

Yes, I am fully expecting to get an email saying my order is canceled in the morning when I wake up. and if it does, I’m fine with that. But it is a great deal.

Some thoughts on the legitimacy of this. I noticed that the crazy prices were only on specific colors and storage options. Which could mean anything. It could have been a massive mistake. Or maybe they took on too much inventory before the holidays and are slashing prices on the iPads that don’t sell as well. They are still currently advertising the iPad 10th gen for $224 under their featured deals on the front page. Which would lead me to believe that whoever managers their website had to manually input that in there. Who knows what will happen! We will see! Glad I was able to get Best Buy to honor it, I saw on Twitter there were several others who did the same.

Maybe the Webmaster or Office administrator are not aware of the problem, yet. That is an awful way of raising cash and if an accountant suggested selling current merchandise at a 48% loss they should be fired. I could see if it was last years stock but that's not the case here. I wonder if those prices are what it costs Apple to make those products.

I ordered one and used Amazon Pay but I think these will all get cancelled.
Apple’s profit margins are roughly 38% so these are below even Apple’s costs. If a supplier went insolvent I could see an administrator selling at cost but this looks like an error or a hack (given that multiple iPads and Macs were at these outrageously low prices).

You are lucky that you got Best Buy to honor it in that you have a known product in hand. I’m surprised the store manager approved it. They had to have taken a loss on it.

On a side note I did get B&H to match Adorama’s $100 discount on the M2 Pro mini this week, but that just matches the education price so they still made money on it.
