You have a real problem of focusing on just part of a post and leaving out the part that answers your comments. I already said there's nothing wrong with getting jet black and to get whatever you like.This makes no sense to me. I choose jet black because I like it the most, period.
I put it in a case to protect it from breaking in case I drop it.
I don't care much about minor scratches, certainly wouldn't buy a colour that I don't like just because it doesn't scratch as much.
It makes perfect sense, though. I don't care if you like jet black better, or matte or silver or gold or pink. But logically speaking, if your phone stays in a case anyway, it makes more sense to get the color that won't scratch as easily for better resale value in a year or two. If you can't see the logic in that, then I don't know what else to tell you but to enjoy your jet black iPhone in a case that looks exactly the same as a matte black iPhone in a case.
