My wife got a notification on her phone that her iCloud drive was full and so backups could not be completed. I thought that was strange, because she really doesn't use her iCloud drive for anything but backups, and we both typically download our photos onto our Mac and delete them from our phones. When I looked to see what was taking up all the space, the iCloud settings on her phone said that her backup was taking up about 2GB more space than it actually was—it said backups took up 5GB+ of space, when her latest backup was about 3GB. I decided to delete her backups to see if that would help. Instead, her iCloud drive says that her backups are still taking up 2.2GB of space, but when I drill down to the backups screen, it says there are zero backups taking up zero space (see screenshots). When I sign her in online at iCloud.com, it says the same thing; backups are taking up 2.23GB of space.

I confirmed at iCloud.com that no other devices are logged into her Apple ID; we use my iCloud account on our Mac and other iOS devices. Any ideas what might be causing it?

Having the exact same issue, I've contacted Apple 20 hours ago but they have yet to fix it.

Update: Received a call from a apple "senior advisor", informed me that the Apple engineers are aware of the issues as there are also others reporting the same problem too and it is currently being looked on, and will take indefinite amount of time for it to fix. Thanks Apple. Thanks.
