Crown molding chrome on an app??? Are you FREAKING kidding me??? This is the most disgusting design I possibly have ever seen! This is like the poster child of what NOT to do with skeuomorphism!!!!!!:eek::confused::(

Worst thing is when I look at the app preview shots, it looks like a failed photoshop job. It just seems out of place. You know what, though, if people like it, then more power to 'em. I know I've had my share of apps that people around me ranted and raved over and I just

Yeah, but lots of developers are using that excuse. I agree it is a short coming of the apple store, but (there is always a but) ... whats to stop them from having a downloadable one from the web site.

I bought, version 1 and then I bought version 2. Now I have to buy version 3 ? It ain't gonna happen especially since version 2 works on 10.8. Ill keep using it.

1) They are offering a discount over the previous version. They are just giving it to everyone.
2) I have no idea what the argument is that you shouldn't have to pay for a new version of software. If the new features are worth the price to you, buy it. If not, don't.

Not trying to complain toooo much, BUT.. (see) those of us who bought the earlier versions are the reason they got to make a version 3. I always thought that customer loyalty was supposed to be a good thing?

Do you use the same logic when you get paid? As pointed out earlier, do you expect a smaller salary the longer you've been working for someone?

Make the upgrade $15 for owners of V2 and $10 for owners of V1 & V2, and $24 for everyone else. They lowered the price of D2 with this release, why not carry that a little farther to previous customers?

As Shipley pointed out, they don't even know who previously bought DL from the Mac App Store, so half their previous customers wouldn't get the discount.

No, and this is a deal-breaker.

I sync my library to DL iOS app on my phone so when I am out I can reference it to make sure I am not purchasing duplicate media.

If you still own DL2, you can export a DL3 Library to DL2 for syncing with the iPhone. Cumbersome, but depending on how often you update your library, might be worth it, and more useful than simply publishing to a website.

More useful would be the developer fixing their iOS app to work with the new desktop app, AND to fix the iOS app crash when you use the alphabet navigation on the right side of the screen.

I had to request a refund and am currently looking for competitor products. DL 3's heavy utilization of effects caused way too much CPU load on my (mid2010) MacBook Pro.
