Apple is sending BS emails to everyone. They're using the same excuse for everyone's order that was delayed, yet I didn't even use a damn upgrade, I paid full retail! Nothing to verify in terms of eligibility and even Verizon called them out over the phone. Apple is trying make up excuses which is weird, just say our order got delayed, don't just lie.
 
Just got the same email too. I checked w/ Verizon and they confirmed I'm eligible and there is nothing on their end that would prevent Apple from completing my order.

This is for two silver 128 GB iPhone 6 Pluses which I ordered directly through both of my upgrade eligible iPhones at about 1:15 AM PST when I was finally able to get thru.

Same here. Placed order around 1:10am PST. Just confirmed with Verizon that my account is definitely eligible for upgrade. Not sure what Apple is trying to do here. Trying to contact Apple again, been on hold for about 20 mins now.
 
Hah! Mine is for 128GB as well, looks like they were just short on them so they tried to point the finger at our carriers as to not take the heat.
 
Just got off phone w/ Apple store. Person said Apple verifies eligibility on order, then verifies eligibility again when phones are going to be shipped in case there is a change in eligibility between order and ship date. Due to high volume of orders, they are experiencing issues in verifying w/ both Verizon and AT&T. Said he has never seen this issue before, but anticipates orders should go through soon and phone will arrive next Mon or Tues.

I asked and received two Apple iPhone cases for my inconvenience (red leather and blue silicon) both of which also won't ship for a while. Well, at least something's better than nothing. :p
 
Yup same email here about Verizon when I paid full price. I got the free case offer earlier but I just want to get my phone tomorrow. I'm waiting for a supervisor. A case is nice but they're a billionaire dollar company. Surely getting $650-1000 is better than a case that's why they offered that.
 
Me Also (ATT)

I placed an upgrade order with Apple right after things went live last week. Everything was fine. All 3 said delivery 9/19. This morning, I got a shipped email for 2 of the phones. Now at 7pm tonight, I get an email from apple saying they cannot verify my eligibility. I did not pay an upgrade price. I paid full price.

Ticks me off that Apple delivery of 9/19 up until 7pm tonite. Now what do I do? If apple hasn't got the verification done in 6 days, I doubt another 3 will allow them to work it out. I will call ATT, but they will say the problem is not on their end.

Really sucks apple.
 
I'm gonna go wait in line for tomorrow and hope to get a 6+ 128GB and if I can just cancel/return the other delayed one.

If I can't, then it sucks but at least I should have one coming in a week.

Apple has been really shady about this particular issue though..
 
Mine is on the way from Louisville on a truck. Left at 5:27pm. My case was delayed 1.5 hours due to a late trailer outside of Chicago and yet it somehow can't make it here until Monday now. Kinda peeved about that. Technically it's closer than Kentucky. At least I should have my phone but all the reviews said you should get a case for the Plus because it's slippery and if something happens I'm gonna be so upset.
 
I don't get why it says ships in 1-3 days but won't arrive until the 26th, why aren't they doing next day shipping?
 
Just a heads up for those of you who got your phone order delayed because Apple is not able to verify your eligibility. I spoke to my carrier (Verizon in my case), and was told everything is okay. Also verified online. Then I contacted Apple, after an 1 hr hold, finally I was able to reach an Apple rep. The rep told me the verification has been cleared, and everything is ready to go. So the order will probably ship in 1-3 days, as mentioned on their site.

After I expressed my disappointment and frustration on the process, I was transferred to a manager (another 45-50 mins hold). While I was waiting for the manager, the rep offered my 2 leather cases for the trouble. When I finally got to talk to the manager, I was once again told that my order is still waiting for upgrade eligibility verification from Verizon. WTF! :mad::mad::mad:

The manager gave me her contact info, and said she will monitor the order and will contact me on Friday. At this point I don't know who to believe. :(

The reason they are giving another 1-3 days, is that is really not a firm delivery. There is some issue when Apple went back (again) right before ship and reverified eligibility. Mine was fine for 6.5 days. I have been on the phone with ATT and Apple for almost 2 hours. Apple is saying they are having the same issue with a lot of customers and think they can get it resolved. I am not so convinced. So I have asked to escalate. I am paying full price, so there should not be an eligibility issue anyway. Apple also tried to tell me there was a 2 phone limit on upgrades. So I asked why did they let all 3 go through last week. And actually the one with the delay was the first one ordered.


I'll keep you updated on what happens.

edit: supervisor came on line, apologized, said there is nothing they can do, just wait.

Same thing here with an ATT email from Apple.

I ordered at 12:48 am PT (Gold 128 6+). It was preparing for shipping all week... Then at 2:00 pm PT today my 9/19 date changed to 9/25-29. I called ATT and they said everything was fine. I called Apple and talked to Cody he said everything was fine on my order it was and would be shipping soon. He gave his condolences and offered me a free case so I took the Midnight Blue. He also said I had one of the earliest ship dates he has seen with this issue.

Yes, I am upset and a little mad, but nothing I can do. I hope it comes sooner. The thing that bugs me is, it looks like we all placed our orders around the same time. We were among the first to get them, but will not be among the first to use them.

This is exactly what happened to me. Three phones, first phone delayed which is of course mine!!!
 
On hold 2.5 hours

I was on hold with ATT & Apple for 2.5 hours. Bottom line is they really don't know what is going on. They have gotten a notification that this is happening to numerous people.

At one point, they said it was because there was a limit of 2 upgrades per household. Of course nothing on the web site. Nothing on the order confirmation I got about that. And its the first upgrade I ordered that is the problem, not #2 and #3.

So I continued to escalate within Apple. Finally got to a very nice manager. She basically said she would personally try and get my issue resolved. She gave me her phone number and email address. I finally decided that was all I could do tonite. But frankly, I am not very hopeful about a positive resolution. Whatever issue they are having with ATT tonite, they will still have tomorrow or the next day. The new updated status they are showing on their website is not a guarantee. Just an estimate on when they hope to resolve the issue with the carriers so they can ship the phone.

It does amaze me, that I was paying full price for this order. So eligibility should not even be an issue. I have 6 iPhones and 3 iPads on my account. In the recent past, I have ordered 5 iPhone upgrades for delivery on launch day with no problems. Seems like a crappy way to treat a very loyal customer.

Please keep the thread going. I will make sure an update if I hear anything on my order.

I feel your pain man, 12:40 AM here. I even ordered the 128GB so that I could avoid a delay. Since most people were ordering the 16 and 64
 
Looking at the pattern of who was affected, this sounds like it has to be a coding bug. I'm sure VPs will be notified of this issue tomorrow, and all affected customers will have phones ASAP via rush delivery. Just won't make it by tomorrow.
 
ATT Next?

My personal theory is this may have something to do with ATT trying to force us into their Next program. Vs the 2 year upgrade cycle.
