Delivery date other than 9/21

Recieved confirmation at 4:06a EST.

Still says ships in 2 weeks, delivered Oct 5.

But if there are people who waited until 5pm to preorder and still have a 10/5 date, it leads me to believe the ones like myself who missed the cutoff by a few minutes should get it anywhere between the 9/24-10/5. 10/5 being the absolute worst case scenario.

Mine is Oct 2. I had to cancel and reorder because I used the wrong credit card the first time. Lost my 9/21 delivery date...

Hope it speeds up... Maybe I can get it by mid next week...

I got bumped from the 2 to the 5 too. I had to add applecare today and that is what resulted after the rep told me it wouldnt effect the shipping date

I only know of one other person scheduled to deliver on the 26th and I've heard a few 28ers. It seems that the weird shipment dates were given to people between 11am and noon EDT before they really started to sell out of inventory, thus kicking everyone else back to October

right there with you. ordered from Verizon when it still said 9/21, but by the time the order went through it was 9/26

What are you talking about? They sold out of inventory before 4am EDT. My order was complete just a few min after 4am EDT and Im Oct 5th. So youre telling us that a bunch of people who ordered almost 8 hours after me are getting delivery dates of the 26th and 28th? If so Id like a screenshot of relevant info so I can inquire with apple.

Yeah I ordered at 5am and have had an October 5th delivery from the beginning.

I'm still hoping my deliver date will change

So yea as of today 9/20/12, the day before launch day, my preorder status still shows processing and delivery date on October 4. I've officially given up and as soon as I pick up my preorder at Best Buy tomorrow, I'll cancel my preorder at Apple.

I'm disappointed and I'll probably never order at apple.com anymore. It's so ridiculous that 50 minutes after midnight last friday, they are all out for tomorrow's delivery date? Thank god for Best Buy

It is weird but they were definitely not prepared. Apparently they got 2 million orders and they only had 1 million phones like last year. So they need to make another 1 million phones. And this does not include the phones needed for the Apple stores and the carrier stores. So basically our delivery dates all depends on how long manufacturing of a million phones takes? Anyone knows?

Apparently Foxconn can produce 137,000 iphones a day, thats 1 every 1.6 secs!!

Yeah. I was one of the fools who thought apple would fulfill customers prepaid orders before filling store shelves. Guess not.

I just got off the phone with Verizon CS and I asked if I was still going to get it the 26th as promised, and she said that the 26th is actually the day it will be shipped and it will actually likely deliver on the 28th.
