To those who did not get the 9/21 delivery date, can we get a consensus on your order info?

I'm still hoping my deliver date will change :(

Well as of today, 9/17/12, my delivery date still shows October 4 :(

I ordered my 16GB Black 5 at around 3:05 CST. When I ordered it showed a delivery date of Oct. 2. It still shows that date and it is still processing, my credit card has also been charged. Still hoping to get it early even though I haven't gotten a preparing to ship email yet...

It's weird how people get their phones either on 21st or straight to October, nothing in between that last week of september. Something funny going on?

I agree, seems weird, maybe just adding a buffer for production? Still odd considering they have been in production for months. Maybe they will surprise me with my iphone early.

I preordered mine on verizonwireless.com today and my delivery is set for 9/28/12. If they havent charged my card yet I will probably cancel it and go to Verizon on the 21st.

They don't charge your card until it ships.. No company does.

It is weird but they were definitely not prepared. Apparently they got 2 million orders and they only had 1 million phones like last year. So they need to make another 1 million phones. And this does not include the phones needed for the Apple stores and the carrier stores. So basically our delivery dates all depends on how long manufacturing of a million phones takes? Anyone knows?

lol :(

If anyone has had their card fully charged, I'd be going to UPS.com and doing the track by reference trick to see if it's been shipped but you haven't been notified yet. They typically don't charge your card the full ammount until it has shipped.

Mine hasn't been charged yet (10/5 date).

I'm curious about cancelling and picking up a phone in the store and the uprade price. Can I cancel the online order in the store (via the app, I'd imagine), and then pay my regular upgrade price at the retail store?

I'm getting tempted to take my chances at the store Friday.

mine has been charged the full amount on Friday itself. But it does not show up in the UPS site yet. Tried pretty much everything. And i have a delivery date of Oct 2. Question is what can i do to confirm whether they have shipped it yet or not?

Ok I just called Apple, and they told me my card just has a pending charge and is for authorization purposes only. It will only actually go through after my order has been shipped. There goes that. FML

Anyone else finding it a little sickening that people who ordered at 3:50am EST on Friday are GETTIG the same delivery date as those who are ordering as late as today? It's gotta be a wrong. I'll wait to see what Monday and Tuesday brings via apple

YES! I dont understand that at all.

Got my confirmation email @ 2:52 CST stating 9/21 delivery..later in the morning it was bumped to 10/5...checked it tonight, and now it's back to 9/21 delivery. It's still says processing though...

I'm an Oct 5th delivery date too

No pending charge for me though

I don't think it matters. I had a pending charge for the full amount but it disappeared this morning.

I know it's my fault. Even though I had just woke up in the middle of the night, I still should have realized the 2 week wait and ordered from AT&T's site instead. That said, I honestly never thought we would be penalized for ordering directly from Apple.

All these reported Oct 5 dates are from people that preordered from Apple? Or ATT?

I ordered at 7:50 EST on the 14th from Apple, and have an Oct 5th delivery date. Did like someone else and phoned them to try to get something other than standard shipping, as I will be flying the afternoon of the 5th, so wanted it AM delivery if possible, and they were unable to change it (said 'all pre orders are expedited shipping', which I find difficult to believe).

my original 21st order (my phone) that changed to the 5th is now back to the 21st but still "processing"

my second phone (hubby's phone) is still slated for the 5th...

Order conf at 1:15am PST (I started the order much earlier with a 9/21 delivery, but couldn't figure out how to order two phones, same plan, switching from Sprint to Verizon, so when I checked out, the order conf email said 10/5).

Mine is Oct 2. I had to cancel and reorder because I used the wrong credit card the first time. Lost my 9/21 delivery date... :(

Hope it speeds up... Maybe I can get it by mid next week...
