It might be unrelated unless no one with a SS 42mm is gonna get it on Friday. They seem to be going by SKU

Apple just charged my card at 5:48 PM. Looks like mine is on the way for Friday. I ordered the 42mm SS with a black classic buckle. My Apple Store App says Preparing for Shipment. I'm in North Carolina by the way. My order was completed at 3:02. Good luck to the rest of you waiting. Yahoooo!

It doesn't look like it, check out this thread. Hopefully the SS Black Sports are just at the back of the warehouse and haven't been processed yet.

I reckon the Black Band is the most popular. 1. Because its joint cheapest 2. Neutral

Now because of this they have used all the bands up on the aluminium version so none left for the SS :-(

Called Apple to sort out the Apple Pay issue. Ran a manual authorization successfully, and made it past order processing. On the way to the warehouse according to the rep. Whoo!!

42mm sport w/ white band. Confirmation e-mail at 3:04am. Showing as Processing after briefly showing as Preparing For Shipment.

No update on my extra black band but not expecting that until at least the 29th.
