Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8

I ordered two of the same, got one for the 4/24 shipment and another for 5/13. Neither has been charged or prepared for shipment. She could be full of it to try to get under your skin.
 
Boston Area Shipping via Fedex?

Tried searching for my shipping info via UPS. No dice. My last few orders from Apple came via Fedex. One order direct from China and the other one came in from PA. Both came via Fedex. So maybe not all orders are shipping via UPS??

Just got a UPS MyChoice email notification with the tracking number for a SS White Sport Band!! Shows UPS Next Day Air Saver with scheduled delivery Friday!

So. Just thinking how this cycle works:

1. The watches get sent from the Asia in palettes to distribution centers across the world.
2. Each palette contains a number of watches from each "SKU" which is basically size, material, band combo. (I assume the reason the sports bands got the 2 sizes included is to reduce SKUs)
3. Once the palette arrives to the distribution center it is scanned into the warehouse as "Apple Inventory". Until this moment the watches are legally still Apple property and hence cannot be invoiced to customers.
4. Apple online orders are assigned to distribution centers based on customer ship location. So at this point we have "distribution center" inventory and "distribution center" orders under fulfillment.
5. Each day the new shipments get scanned into "inventory" and once that is completed, individual invoices are raised based on that inventory and orders under fulfillment for this particular distribution center. If inventory is not enough, then not all orders are fulfilled. If inventory is sufficient, then orders are processed and invoiced.

The key takeaway from this is that we need to think more along the lines of distribution centers and orders being fulfilled versus all of us being in one queue.

Think of it like this. Apple sends product to many locations, each one has it's own separate queue. How quickly we get our product is dependent on our position in that queue as well as the available product at that particular location.

This sucks... I ordered within minutes of pre-orders starting (and ordered the SS Classic Buckle which had a ship date of 4/24 - 5/8 for a LONG time (like over an hour)... Still not movement.... absolutely nothing

Location and email confirmation exact time? Maybe I can give you an educated guess :)

I would think you should see movement tomorrow :) You are very close. From the sheet and other posts we are now seeing orders preparing to ship beyond your time. Probably a popular SKU where you are :)

No luck here on the UPS Tracking by Reference yet. I was just charged about an hour and a half ago and has been "Preparing for Shipment" for about an hour. Friday needs to be here like now.

Also, does anyone know if a signature is required?
 
When adding the ups tracking number to the ups iphone app it shows that it's being shipped from Mount juliet, TN!!!

Same here.. ordered 38mm SS with Black sport strap.. Everyone in my batch seem to be charged and shipped now.. I'm STILL processing. My patience is wearing thin.

Yeah I think that's actually better news. We just need apple to flip the switch on our model b
