Same boat, San Diego, 38mm sport (blue), card charged Monday but no movement after Preparing for Shipment. I did get my charging cable though (came from Rialto). Here's hoping my watch is sitting in Rialto!

I think it's pretty random at this point. My charges happened this morning around 8:30am CT.
It is so nerve wrecking to wait on these planes...even when they land we still have to wait for them to travel on the tarmac then be unloaded and shipments carried to the warehouse to be scanned in...Im sure the dont scan them in on the tarmac.
Another thing I assume is that you were charged because they have accounted for a watch for you and they have packaged it up and sent it to be put on a plane to Alaska. From there its scanned in to the U.S. system and then UPS can let you know that you have a package coming to you. SO maybe its by luck of the draw that some people got shipping numbers yesterday.. After they charge you it has nothing to do with what time you order it must just be wherever they put your package in relation to what models were available. just my assumption.
With that said I wonder if we could check in Asia's UPS system to see if there is a package? what do yall think?

Depends whether a union is involved. Only certified box builders, wrappers and inspectors can QC a packing job.
Not sure if anyone else has posted this but my shipping label is actually future dated for 4/23 with Next Day overnight shipping for delivery on 4/24.
Where are you located? It at least seems that the threads blow up around that time with orders. There is likely the possibility of a scan anytime day or night. I am just going off what I have noticed, I very well could be wrong.

Which kind of proves my assumptions you were charged at that time because a watch with your name on it was accounted for in the system letting Apple know to go ahead and charge the account. This probably happend as soon as the watch was checked and came off the assembly line. Then its placed in a box for shipping and I assume they load the boxes in no particular order thats why some of us have been waiting since Monday to receive tracking info. Our watch hasn't reached Alaska yet to be scanned in.
I'm nearby, same order. No charge, no change.
There is still time, don't give up!

I didn't even order an extra charger... Looks like I'll be wearing a blank space on my wrist on friday...
this is what I have found as well. Seems to be tied to the flights from China to Anchorage. Today the planes start landing around 5:20Eastern
You all know that Apple is just trolling us. Those "Preparing for Shipment".. they were like 'hey for fun, lets flip some to preparing for shipment and then not ship them'
Philosophically, it has been preparing for shipment since it was announced.
Still "processing items" for me. 42mm SG sport. Ordered at :02 with email arriving at :03.04. No charges to my card of any sort.

...but I've had this happen before with iPhones. My guess is the SG sports are mostly local at hubs and will be shipped overnight with status changing tomorrow and arrival on Friday.

they aren't having issues. this is the leading company, you seriously sit there and believe the watch put apple in a unforeseen jam? you're silly...
just because your watch might not be delivering/trackable yet, doesn't mean apple's having issues.....there are 3million orders, someone's bound to get caught in the late batches....just chill with the i want it now mentality
