A box is far more than 5 cubic inches.

We don't know precise measurements, but from SS in boxing videos I've seen, it looks like it's in the range of 4x4x3, which is nearly 50 inches cubed.

The Sport box is a little smaller, but we're still taking about figures that are far higher than 5.

Doh. I meant 5X5X5 inches. 5 per side.

If the dimensions are 4X4X3. That would be 848,000 boxes on a 777F and 2.34 million on a 747-400F.

I know my window of delivery goes until the 8th of May, but wouldn't you think that if there were a mass shortage of SG 42mm that Apple would contact those customers and let them know that their shipping date would most likely slip due to demand. Apple has amazing customer service...

Why? It hasn't slipped unless it's after the 8th

Some SS with BSB have moved to Preparing for Shipment, but none in the US. The first one (that we have heard of) was from Hong Kong and some UK and Australia residents got their status updated as well. This was around midnight PDT.

Going by his post history, it seems he's from Germany which makes sense, we still haven't seen any updates from the US with this specific model.

I ordered a 38mm SS BSB and a 42mm SS BSB. The 38mm is for my wife and it went into preparing for shipping 2 days ago with no update since. My watch, the 42mm, is still showing as processing. I'm in New York City btw and have not been able to find it by reference number on the UPS website.

Yeah the 42mm is the model I was talking about. You're not alone. Anyone who has this specific model and is in the U.S. Has not gotten any updates so far.

you'll get it, just chill.....

even tho its not showing up and preparing to ship doesn't mean its not preparing to ship

apple's site is back logged

mine is allegedly "preparing to ship" but its actually shipped already....with tracking that show its in transit:apple::)

Screenshot that will you, I'd like to see.

Another UPS plane from China is about to land in less than 15 mins. We get more movement on the ups reference trick within the hour.

Then another UPS plane should land around 5:30 EST.

Still in Preparing to Ship..

Picture This ..

Apple .. why did you make the 42mm SS Link Bracelet your poster picture boy when you didn't have any for delivery on 4/24 to begin with ?

The Pre-Orders went so wrong specially with this "bit expensive, yet affordable" price range if I may say so ..
You begin with spending more than the cheaper version (Sports Watch) which were ordered the most and less than the ones which would be bought the least (Edition Watch), however you get less precedence over the cheaper ones. I'm pretty sure they must have got an idea with some statistics around Favorited items in our Apple Store App. Probably the should have run a survey way before making adjustments to their orders to the suppliers. You should know like a car company what sells the most & the least - Hatchback, Sedan, SUV, Truck and then go to assembly line.

We pick up these in blind faith, with try on appointments starting the day of pre-orders. So like everyone, I was buying a $999 watch, burning the midnight oil without even looking at it before ordering. Fine this happens with iPhones as well, but it's a matured product. So Try-On should have been a week before Pre-Order if I may say.

Now, I don't buy that Apple won't have been aware that this particular model (42mm SS LB) won't be shipped on 4/24. If you knew that some of your models had limited availability or no availability. Then allow users to order in the morning instead of waking pre-order night and rushing to know when ordered that "Oh No.. I'm not getting it on 4/24".

I see no one claim that they are getting some of the uber expensive Apple Watch on 4/24 itself. It more seems like a Apple Watch Sports launch for 4/24. (if you wanna see it this way)
