Someone in another thread specific to the watch I ordered made a good point....they didn't seem to have the pink bands to try on in store so is that a subtle way of telling us they had production issues?? ##
I only recall 1 YouTube vid I saw with a person wearing one.

help me understand this...

Apple has more than 9 months to prepare for this... why didn't they ship more China earlier instead of doing it literally last day?

I actually have a Pebble Steel, but it often loses its ability to receive notifications and I have to restart it. I had to do that this morning already. One of the reasons I'm looking forward to the Apple Watch.
My soon to be unused first gen Pebble has always seemed to work well.

There should be another wave of charges and changes soon right? Don't remember what time exactly it started the last 2 days...

To get as much stock as possible out. They are paying for millions of these things to be shipped across the world, so I ok with it. Hopefully mine is one of them!!

Ahh - I can tell you how they're able to do this: they're shipping them the Apple Watches that were intended for the 12:03 orders...

12:03 SG 42mm - still processing....

If they actually do that, I'm going to scream at apple support to fix this mess.

42mm SS BSB - still processing

Apple .. why did you make the 42mm SS Link Bracelet your poster picture boy when you didn't have any for delivery on 4/24 to begin with ?

The Pre-Orders went so wrong specially with this "bit expensive, yet affordable" price range if I may say so ..
You begin with spending more than the cheaper version (Sports Watch) which were ordered the most and less than the ones which would be bought the least (Edition Watch), however you get less precedence over the cheaper ones. I'm pretty sure they must have got an idea with some statistics around Favorited items in our Apple Store App. Probably the should have run a survey way before making adjustments to their orders to the suppliers. You should know like a car company what sells the most & the least - Hatchback, Sedan, SUV, Truck and then go to assembly line.

We pick up these in blind faith, with try on appointments starting the day of pre-orders. So like everyone, I was buying a $999 watch, burning the midnight oil without even looking at it before ordering. Fine this happens with iPhones as well, but it's a matured product. So Try-On should have been a week before Pre-Order if I may say.

Now, I don't buy that Apple won't have been aware that this particular model (42mm SS LB) won't be shipped on 4/24. If you knew that some of your models had limited availability or no availability. Then allow users to order in the morning instead of waking pre-order night and rushing to know when ordered that "Oh No.. I'm not getting it on 4/24".

I see no one claim that they are getting some of the uber expensive Apple Watch on 4/24 itself. It more seems like a Apple Watch Sports launch for 4/24. (if you wanna see it this way)

so uh, will I be getting my SS on launch day..?

It's 4:20PM EST here.

Ordered at 3:03AM EST Space Grey Sports Watch and still no movement.

And it's raining here on the East Coast..
