Sorry, but apparently they are wrong. People who got a change to preparing for shipment in the US see their UPS Mychoice deliveries for the 24th, whereas people without a status change haven't received these updates. Nice try though![]()
no charge for me either confirmation email was sent at 3:03 delivery 4/24-5/8i got the 42mm ss with black sport band and no change yet did yours and i ordered mine at 3:03 was my conformation email
so i might still have a chance lol
My Apple Watch SS Black Sport Band is still processing, but I was just charged on my card so I'm still hopeful!
FYI, I'm an :06 order with a :09 confirmation in the STL area
There has to be some type of a issue or severe shortage with the 42mm SS BSB model. Another day almost gone and my front of the line order is still processing. I'm almost sure I won't get the damn thing this Friday.

42mm or 38mm?

You are overwhelmingly likely to get your watch Friday...

Won't it show in your calendar view in UPS My Choice?
Not sure if anything but my bro sent this. Idk if it has been posted before.
Okay guys and gals, I just talked to a contact at Apple (he's not a customer support person and that's the most I can say. but he did have information that was being distributed for phone support staff) he said that they have a memo in which they told their phone support employees that "having a change in your order status is not an indication that you will or will not receive your watch before those who are yet to get an order update." He went on to describe and insist "A change in order status does not indicate an April 24th delivery and the lack of a change to order status does not indicate that you will not be receiving your product at launch. On the contrary, orders are being processed differently this time around and the specifics of logistics in which bands, which models, which delivery companies, are all contributors in the timing of the status changes and will continue to be processed 24 hours a day. Orders processed today may not ship till Friday, while orders processed tonight may not ship till Monday and orders processed tomorrow may very well arrive Friday." "The process in which the orders are being scanned and attached to the product for shipment are not being based on time of order specifically. The first come first serve only applies to the delivery window, not to the time of day. All 4/24-5/8 orders, regardless of wether they were 1 minute or 4 minutes after the Site and App went live, will be processed for the same shipping windows. The determination of the products arrival will solely be based on inventory, geographic location, and delivery provider." "The fact that your order hasn't updated is irrelevant. Your shipping window is your shipping window, regardless. Orders began updating today and will continue to update. With most orders already in the process of shipment, it is a matter of being input into the system. Your devices arrival date has been determined regardless of when you receive the notification at 4:00pm or 4:00am, the outcome will be the same."

Just got off the phone with apple inquiring about the fact that my card was charged on Monday yet I have no email updates at all.
He said because it's a debit card it's only a hold on the funds and it has no bearing on when it will ship.
He only stated that it could be shipped anywhere from the 24th to the 8th. At which time the hold will be deducted.
He must of gotten the memo....
So..although the status says preparing to ship Apple is basically hijacking my funds for up to three weeks if it doesn't actually ship out until the 8th. great. Is this a kickstarter???
Ordered at 12:02 SS classic buckle southern ca
What time did you order?
I've read this several times and it's pretty contradictory. Your status changing is prompted by some activity in the sequence that gets your order processed. That has to mean something. People close to distro centers getting last minute shipping info for launch day is a regular occurrence. Since orders are processed from different distro centers it's always possible that someone who ordered later in California, may get processed earlier than someone who ordered in New York just because different distro centers have different stock allocations and different order sequences. So, not sure anything really new here. One way or the other, we will all know soon. Maybe some won't get theirs on Friday but if their CC is charged and they are preparing to ship, they will certainly see theirs soon after. Just my .02.
Got an email from Apple and was so excited until I saw that the order DIDNT GO THROUGH.
I paid with the Apple Store app (confirmation at 3:03 am EST) and used Apple Pay with my Cap 1 credit card only to get a rejection letter.
Immediately called Apple support and she said that this has been happening a lot and that I caught it quick enough to give them my actual credit card number that the delivery date will be unchanged. PHEW
Hopefully this helps anyone else who may have something similar happen to them. Good luck brothers!
