I don't think you're right. I think it's just a "just letting you know what's going on" type thing. Then again, I'm trying to be optimistic
Because there are enough people here to show no charged and preparing orders got the email and processing uncharged emails did.
Patterns.
I think the thinking is that they wouldn't have to remind the people receiving it on 4/24 that their delivery is between 4/25 and 5/8... also, the use of the word "between" is suspicious... it doesn't say starting the 4/25.
I got the email for my "still processing" order made at 3:15 EDT. I did NOT get any email for my order "preparing for shipment" that was made at 3:05 EDT.
I suspect there goes any chance that my 2nd order will arrive on the 24th.

The fact is that they didn't change the delivery time. So you didn't get it when you wanted...but no promises were broken at all.

I think there is a chance that fedex orders are just being held differently... I don't want to believe this yet. i have yet to see somebody get any official tracking so everything is under the table so to speak especially with UPS
just got an email from apple...I have a feeling this is "oh crap! we ran out of watches...youll get it sometime between the 24th and may 8th...more likely sometime in may!"

I say since a lot of you are not getting it on Friday...cancel your orders. It's not worth it at all.
Does seem pretty crappy that we get up at 3am order minutes after the store opens and yet still lose our place to others ordering later into the morning.
It's not over till its over but as others have said, its not looking good.
who knows, maybe it was an automated email setup a week or so ago to handle the ones that won't get the email tomorrow morning and thats why they left the date of 4/24 in there.

Still processing, did not receive said email...of course now that I post this I bet I will get it.
I'll admit, I've read almost every page of this thread and thought, "This is entertaining. People get far too worked up over this. We'll get them when we get them."
But seeing that they're selling them in boutiques to whoever but they can't fulfill orders for people who have bought their products for years and woke up at all hours of the night...is kind of blowing my mind.
And they are pretty much overnighting the watches anyway, so we can easily get charged tomorrow morning-afternoon and have it Friday. Chances are slimmer now yes but still a chance. This was clearly a bulk email sent to everyone still processing.
I agree with this. Cancel your orders, guys. So I can get mine before V2 comes out
