Take a deep breath. Be patient. I didn't get my change in status until this evening and my confirmation email came 4 minutes after preorders went live.

They are going to get these watches in people's hands as fast as they can.

You sound like you've been moonlighting at the Apple Chat Support desk. Just need a few exclamation points!!!

I hate checking UPS every 15 minutes and seeing this over... and over... and over... and over...

Do you know for sure it's coming via UPS?

Haha. Look at the original picture again and notice my spelling

OH!! Completely missed that the first time I read through haha! Very funny! :D

Don't know what I would do without the jokes from this thread...probably die waiting for this watch. :D

Not to be rude, but I think the US will have much more inventory than other countries.... IMHO :|

I imagine they pay someone a lot of money to estimate inventory based on percentages and demand, it's got nothing to do with location. Australia and the UK are paying more for their watches too, I know who I'd like to sell to!

The exciting part like try-ons, for those receiving their watches on the 24th, there will be a fair percentage of Aussies playing with their watches as you are heading to bed on Thursday night! Fingers crossed I'm one of them!

So excited for all of us, regardless of where you are!

What do you mean???

The thought process here is if you get this email, you're not getting it Friday

There's a marketing email going out along the lines of "welcome to your new product" and people are doing this completely bizarre conclusion jump that it affects your delivery date.

Ok I just get an email from apple.

My heart jumps!!

You know someone is laughing their A** off at apple knowing it is going to drive us nuts! lol

Things are happening fast...

I ordered a SS 42 BCB at 3:03 EST on 4/10. It went to Preparing for Shipping on Monday at 5 pm EST and remains there, however.....

This weekend I ordered a 2M charging cable for the Watch with an initial 2 week delay for delivery. I got notice today at noon that the cable was now arriving on 4/24, and just got a second notice from UPS that is is coming on 4/23 (from Harrisburg PA). I am in Ohio.

So the turnaround can be under a day and I hold out hope when I wake tomorrow, my  Watch will be shipped to arrive on 4/24

Just got that too. Why is it death? I assumed it just was sent to everyone who ordered.

Yes, there is a rule against it if the company does business with the major credit card companies. I work for an e-commerce company and I was involved with setting up the credit cards years ago. That was the rule then. I doubt it has changed. We can only charge the card beforehand if we are customizing their product. If it is "off the shelf" it cannot be charged until it ships... unless the customer specifically agrees to it. I looked further online and if the company charges you and waits to ship, then it boils down to your loaning the company funds without being paid interest. If this rule were not in place you can imagine how companies could so easily advertise a product, take your money, use it interest free and then wait weeks to ship, all the while having use of your money.

Cool story bro.

But there is no federal law preventing them from charging your card before they ship. There are CC companies that don't allow companies to charge the CC until shipped unless you allow them. So if you "agree" by placing the order then you "agree" to the policy of that website which can include if they want "charge before shipping"

Most websites only charge when shipped. However it is no where near 100 percent.

same email here, at exact same time.

Just got it as well. Order still in processing. I don't know how the conclusion was drawn that this meant you weren't going to get delivery on Friday exactly. Has anyone gotten the e-mail who's card has been charged or order moved out of processing?

Just got that too. Why is it death? I assumed it just was sent to everyone who ordered.

It looks like a lot of people are getting it. So far I've only seen people in processing get it - not people that have moved to PFS. There have been a few threads on it. I simply called it what others have in those threads.

Imago just trying to keep things in perspective- we all loved without an  watch all these years and survived somehow lol.

Exactly. If it's Preparing and the UPS "trick" doesn't pull up a shipping label, I'm reasonably certain that it is being delivered FedEx Overnight

I just received that same email within the last minute.

I got excited for a minute, then immediately disappointed when I read it.

I'm still suck at processing, so I'm assuming everyone who preordered is getting it.
