Got my shipment email from Apple. Really would like to hold it at the UPS center and get it in the morning but that would require taking the day off work and so I am probably just going to make myself wait until l the evening and just let it come to the house after work.

Also those people saying Steve would have delayed the launch are just being ridiculous. If anything Steve would have not done pre orders at all and put all the inventory in stores and it would have been a crapshoot as to what you could get when.

So, is anyone with a "Shipped" status getting a delivery today, or is it Friday?

Friday delivery. It shows shipped today but it was 1:00 a.m. and was being delivered to the hub in Penn. They will all prob. leave tonight and be delivered tomorrow via Next Day Air. Mine is via UPS being delivered to NC. (42mm space gray - conf. email 12:02 am.)

I have seen people who ordered 5-10 hours after pre orders going live and are receiving them today. I think you were just unlucky given the band you wanted.

Thats my point and I think its BS! I would have preferred to go and camp out in front of a store vs. ordering online and basically playing online Russian roulette

I just don't understand how I could have a 3:02 am order of a SG 42mm with black band and it is still processing while others that ordered later than me are getting their orders tomorrow. Can anyone please explain this?

6pm tonight is the drop dead time for next day delivery to any of the lower 48. Let's not get too worked up till then. Long day ahead for many of us.

I really wish I could. Ordered at 17:02 AEST. Got confirmation email at 17:03:02. Ordered same watch as you and received the email of death this afternoon. All I can do at this point is just laugh. So disappointed.

Huzzzaaaahhhhhhhh
Was your order already "Preparing to Ship" or "Processing" before you got the notification..?

So 6pm is the deadline for next day..? And would that be CST or EST?

Charge is pending along with my apple care, but still processing. Trying to stay positive I'm less than an hour outside of Harrisburg, so there is still time but I will feel a whole lot better when that tracking number hits!!

Forgot to mention that it shows up in the Support page with all my products. I have to say that it is somewhat thrilling to see that page with the watch now on it!:)

[Forgot to Quote the post I was appending.)

Yes, but the issue I have is that I have seen people order the SAME model as me hours after I did and they have been charged and shipped. I can't complain about a different model, but the same model? That ticks me off.

I would say that's false. For most people yes, but if you live close enough to a distribution center, then you have up to possibly 5/6am. When things are shipped to me in central Indiana, it always leaves the Indianapolis warehouse around 5/6am for my city then arrives an hour later, then gets put on a truck for delivery. So some of us can even get a surprise early Friday morning.

Sorry I should have clarified. The shipment must be initiated / label created by 6pm.

Thats my point... I have noticed less than 30 people with the same exact config as me receive shipping notifications, while the rest of the masses with the same watch receive nothing....

I think that depends on how close you are to distribution center and UPS. I had a charger process at midnight this morning Harrisburg, get loaded on a truck at 4 am, head to Gettysburg and will be delivered today. My watch will follow that same path when it's time.

Jobs probably also wouldn't of liked the line of asians at the NYC flagship store. This process mitigated that risk. Nobody really knows what jobs would of done for all we know he may have been on board with this decision.

I can go along with this statement. Apple has made mistakes before (even with launches), but this debacle does take the cake by a mile.

However, Steve Jobs and Ron Johnson would have never given Beyoncé and others free watches when Apple's best customers that order in the first few seconds won't be getting it on launch day.

Apple didn't have to give celebrities watches to make it 'cool'. That leaves a bad taste in the mouth of Apple's faithful customers. That had to be Angela Ahrendts's call - and how it was done at Burberry. Tim allowed this where Steve wouldn't.

It does take some of the excitement out of the new product and the wind out of its sails.

Got Apple and My UPS notifications for both SS (BSB, ML) to deliver between 12:45 and 4:45 tomorrow. Harrisburg->Maryland.

I can almost guarantee some people will not receive shipping updates until later on tonight or possibly early morning. Like someone just said the closer you are to a hub and the less distance it has to travel will be the last to be updated.

Shipped!

Received this message at 6: 40 this morning!:D:D

Ordered at :03 for SG Sport 38mm and got that crappy email at 11pm Eastern last night.

I was talking to Apple support about another issue and brought this up and the rep told me he believes that since the email mentions receiving the watch "between" 4/24-5/8 I shouldn't expect it until early-mid next week.

Charged and went into processing around 6pm est last night and nothing on the support profile or ups yet. Still hopeful for delivery because I live in nj which isn't far from the pa hub.
