Hmmmm, these are very strange cases we are dealing with indeed, gentlemen.

I have heard the stories of people receiving updates late at night on the Thursday before delivery day, so I'm staying optimistic. But if I don't get it tomorrow...I'll live.

Not a gentleman but I'm in your metro with a nearly identical scenario (see sig).

Gosh, I'm just an hour away from Durham and ordered the same watch with just one minute ahead of you for confirmation. Mine is billed and on the way to Pa and due here tomorrow. It is odd how varied our experiences are ... with the same watch and similar order date/time.

Where is yours coming from, can you tell? I'm wondering if they are just working through everyone and my watch is on that flight even though I was also a minute behind you.
This seems crazy for a million or so watches vs the millions of iPhones that are shipped vs sold in stores.

Oddly enough I haven't received the EOD. I also haven't received an email that my extra charger is preparing for shipment. Something's broke. There busy but they have the cash to handle it :)

This is my first post here and I felt compelled to write this b/c I just had a situation where a truck almost took me out while I was riding my bike. It was inches from me as it cut me off to make a right turn. Now, I mention this as a reminder of how unimportant "things" really are and instead of worrying about when you're going to get your new watch, why not instead, be grateful for all of the people and things that you already have in your life. The watch will come...but life doesn't last forever so don't waste it by stressing yourself out over something you have absolutely no control over. ✌

Did anyone else write themselves an awesome gift message congratulating yourself on making such a fabulous purchase?

No? Just me?

I'll go back to lurking in the corner then.

I love it. It's like going to the Crate and Barrel and asking them to box up your purchase because you just like how awesome job they do. Glad I am not the only one who does that kind of stuff! :)

I thought about it, but I didn't want to delay my order in ANY WAY. :D

This has to be the crazies release ever. I order three watches on 4-10; 1st was 42mm space gray with Black sports band at 12:03:59 (confirmation email) and the second was a 42 mm stainless steel with Black sports band at 12:05:00 (confirmation email). Both slated with a delivery date of 4/24-5/8. Last night got the email of death. So I was like screw it. Last night at 1:00 am I ordered a extra charger $29.00 (ships 7-10 day) and also ordered a watch for my wife the 38mm sports with pink sports strap (ships June). Wake up this morning to see that they already charged me for the extra charger and had it preparing for shipment and another charge for $49 which was for the applecare I just bought for my wife a few hours earlier. With two additional charges pending but with no amounts. I'm gonna be super pissed off if I receive the watch I just ordered earlier this morning before the ones I ordered on the 10th. I guess it just depends on which band variation everybody bought.

I just got off the phone with Apple regarding my 42mm SS BSB order confirmation received at 12:05 AM PT, and was told to expect it closer to May 8th. He said 300,000 orders were received in the first hour  Not sure if he meant only for the 42mm SS BSB. And due to that my 4 min delay (Apple Pay billing address, and fell for get it faster) I was towards the end of the queue for 24 Apr - 8 May. Then he flat out told me that more high-end watches were prioritized for production. That changed to not as basic after I pointed out my wife's 38mm SS WSB, which is cheaper is preparing to ship. Total customer service fail.

What I did learn is they are well aware of the EOD and the reaction that people are having. They are also well aware that certain models are going to arrive in extremely limited quantities on April 24th.

This does not change my impatience-ness. All you have done is confirmed my thoughts that it's safer to stay indoors and off a bicycle.:p

In all seriousness it's good you didn't become road pizza.

I wonder what's coming ? #

Glad you're okay! Thanks for sharing. I agree that it's good to have some perspective sometimes--easy to lose it when in the thick of anticipation.

I agree! Thanks for taking the time to post that ;)

Still praying for a miracle to get my 38mm SG Sport tomorrow... But hey my wife and family are healthy and I have a house to live in!

Quick question; If UPS is showing progress at 4:10pm 4/23/15 is that the time I should expect movement on the shipment? It just seemed odd to have a future date as the order processing date.

No official email yet, but the UPS Reference number trick now works for me and I have a package from Apple ready for delivery tomorrow. UPS has the 'label printed' status.
