Delivery Dates 4/24-5/8

Nice sunny weather in SLC, UT. Being from CA all my life it's a nice change. Had a snow storm last week which lasted for 2 days. Still trying to determine if I like this snow business or not. All 3 Apple stores in UT are within 20 mins of me so I do enjoy that 🙂

One advantage of working from home, you don't have to worry about missing the UPS or Fedex driver.

I did hold for pickup for the last preorder. Worked nicely, didn't have to wait all day for UPS to come. Was able to go right at 8am when they opened on Friday and pick it up.
 
Just logged onto my Bank Account, and it seems that the AUD$579 charge, has disappeared from my account... Like I just got refunded the money but shouldn't have. (There's no history now of me even purchasing the watch!)
I checked Apple order status, and my watch is still processing... Confused.

Is there something wrong here?

That doesn't sound right. Check with your bank

Nothing is wrong. Authorizations last between 3 to 7 days and if the merchant didn't follow through (since it hasn't been shipped) the authorization falls off.

the first charge was probably the hold on the amount to make sure you had it. the 2nd charge is probably the actual billing/charge to your account for applecare.

Other people began to change to preparing saturday morning. Mine switched Sunday night at 10pm pst. Mine shipped monday.
 
I'm a newbie and I love this damn thread. I have been reading it for the past two days and I'm highly entertained and a good way to pass the time until it comes.
 
I will be interested to see where those charging cables that are now preparing to ship are coming from.

This might give a better idea of if the Friday date is at all possible for delivery of the :apple:watch.

Wrong? There's nothing wrong. In fact, it couldn't be more right, because this actually means you will be the first (not one of the first!!!1) to receive the Apple Watch, and it's completely free of charge!!!!!11one

I have no doubt at all that there is a subset of forum members who do exactly that.

I keep imagining there's a group of people at Apple headquarters who extract a weekly report from the Apple Online Store servers that shows the top 50 customers with the most status refreshes per day, and laugh their asses off about it over lunch. "Hey look at this guy... he refreshed 142 times last Sunday. Let's fake him out and send a cancellation notice, then retract it two hours later. He will totally ******."

But if you ignore them/us there is always the chance that you will miss out on some magnificent pearl of wisdom.

Maybe about as much chance as finding the loch ness monster in a grass skirt, but y'know a chance none the less 😀
