Woke up to my iMac in shipped status. Already left Shanghi, Delivery for the 2nd.

Damn new years day!

----------

Still disproportionate...
How about working for your stuff?

However... Mine is still processing. The 3-4 weeks shipping timeframe is now officially passé.

Because someone else who cares for him, is willing to spend a lot on him, that means he doesn't have a job?

Logic fail.

I didn't say that he has no job. But getting a 3500$ present for christmas/birthday is in my eyes just a bit exaggerated. Okay, maybe he has super rich parents/family. Whatever. I'm just of the opinion that you appreciate things much more when you earn them by yourself.
No offense. (;

Um I do work part time & go to school full-time - Journalism/photojournalism major. I'm also a photographer for my school's newspaper - so I am kept VERY busy. I do hope you are right about shipping times as I would like to start using the iMac for all of my photo editing.

Like I said, no offense. It's just my opinion. (;
I'm a student, too(interface-design) and work in my spare time to get me new hardware for work(MacBook Air and iMac). So it's not impossible.
But congrats, man. Maybe I'm just a bit jealous. ;)

Reading the spreadsheet I think apple will not respect delivery date for many of us...

They got my money in advance almost 4 weeks ago... they should hurry up...

none taken - I totally understand where you are coming from. I did give my parents some of that $ back though - couldn't let them foot the entire bill. You tend to appreciate something a tad more if you work for it:)

Glad to help! I figured there was massive amounts of data being shared, and it'd be way more efficient to track orders by date.

there is some logic to your spread sheet if you take into the equation that some of the orders that were placed on the 30/11 were by wire transfer therefore they did not become live orders until the money got into apples pocket, so I am considering that those fall into the 03/04 December camp, when this is applied then the picture becomes a bit less foggy

the 28/11/2012 is a puzzle as is the odd 07/12/2012 US received one.

thanks again for providing the tool to make sense of the shambles

No prob :) Well, the 12/7 was ordered on 11/30, cancelled, then re-ordered, but I guess he was already in the system. Chances are, someone in the factory just swapped parts in his iMac and put it right back in the box.

I'm in Utah as well, and the 28/11 order notes it was ordered at Expercom, a small local Apple Authorized Reseller. Which probably accounts for the problem/delay.

Looks like most of the rest are ordering direct from Apple, and it's reasonable Apple would be faster than a reseller.

Changed to "Preparing for Shipment" late last night/early this morning. Ordered 12/6 and was originally given a 1/7-1/11 delivery estimate (standard shipping). In SD.
