I didn't say that he has no job. But getting a 3500$ present for christmas/birthday is in my eyes just a bit exaggerated. Okay, maybe he has super rich parents/family. Whatever. I'm just of the opinion that you appreciate things much more when you earn them by yourself.
No offense. (;
Sorry to jump in, but as this thread is basically all about supposedly adult people which are complaining about not having yet received their toy i could not hold on.
How on earth can you say something like you posted? Do you realize how your comment is totally out of perspective?
You judge expensive that sum as a present, i might agree with you, but no-one is in position to give any moral judgment.
What do you think the 1+ billion people who do not have a house or anything to eat judge your very valuable life time spent on posting on a thread about not having yet received your indispensable new 3k$ toy? To put it bluntly, how dare you judge someone else morality based on your tiny perspective? Obviously you consider YOUR standard of living as the right balance between what's right and what's not, but i highly suggest you try to look at things a bit more objectively.
Anyone who is wasting its time posting about delivery times of their new iToy has certainly no moral right to judge how much someone else is spending on the same toy.
Sorry -no, im not sorry actually- for the Out of topic and flaming more than welcome, but to see moral judgments thrown out like this in a thread that goes on for pages and pages about people discussing on such an important topic like "hey, i ordered my toy, it's shipping / oh no it's not yet shipped how miserable i am" really shouts for it.
Oh yes, and i've obviously ordered before many others bla bla still processing bla bla and who cares the world is big.
Now keep on updating yourself on wheter your world-improving imac has yet shipped or not, and blame on the guy who has received it as a present, we are all confident you have never received presents which half of the world population would consider an insult relatively to their life conditions.
But i'm sure you need your new iMac to finally crack that cancer cure.
