Delivery Thread for 27" iMac December Orders

Okay, my iMac arrived in Memphis, TN late last night.

Why does FedEx say it is going to take five days to get from Memphis to New York City?

I would think that it gets put on a plane to Newark sometime today,and is out for delivery early as tomorrow, or at the latest on Tuesday?

Mine is sitting in Memphis too. I think they have to cleared/released since they're international shipments or something similar. Yeah, it's annoying. I got the 2-3 business day shipping, and they're telling me Wednesday the 9th by 10:30 AM. I'm in South-Central PA. Sigh. This is definitely building a LOT of character for me... I'm learning so much patience I can hardly STAND it! LOL;) Maybe they'll move up delivery, I've heard of it happening.

I know how hard it is! Looks like because you ordered Apple Care you don't have the carrier information yet... not until after they merged both products. I guess by tomorrow night you have some new information. After that you'll be able to track it on the TNT website... Almost all of the shipments to The Netherlands are shipped with TNT. If you are interested in the TNT flight numbers from Shanghai to Liege let me know :D
 
Ordered mine on 12/7. Still processing :( this is my first Mac so I'm really excited and ready to dig into it. Got fed up with Microsoft

I think mine was on the same plane with yours. Just updated to "international shipment release" status. I hope that means its on the next flight to PA :)

I ordered on the 7th. I called last week to inquire about the estimated delivery date. I asked how much it would cost to upgrade to 2-3 day shipping and the apple representative was kind enough to upgrade the shipping at no cost.
 
Ok, I know I'm a little late to the party but I ordered mine Dec 1st

27" 2.9ghz and 1TB Fusion drive, it actually delivered Dec 24th, that box it came in was a lot bigger than I was expecting haha
 
Like many, I'm still waiting. Ordered a maxed 27" BTO on the 8th, standard shipping. Didn't think I'd still be waiting.

If you call Apple, and are nice, polite etc, and ask how much to upgrade the shipping, they will do it free of charge for you. Still won't get it built quicker though...

I must've got the wrong reps. 1st one did offer to upgrade for no cost (instead of making me re-order), but didn't actually do it. 2nd rep said they they would not and could not upgrade the shipping in any way, even if I paid.

That's weird. I tried it after reading about it here, and it worked - basically just asked if it was possible to expedite shipping, the (extremely friendly) rep checked the status, and then changed it for free. Maybe you should just try again. :)

Mine took me about 10 hours to go from one to the other a few days ago. Seems all over the place. Hopefully it will be here in the next few days and yours will move soon :)
 
Mine went Preparing to Shipped in about 3 or 4 hours on Friday. Ordered 12/8.
Update: today, Sunday, released in Memphis 10:41 AM... departed FedEx Memphis Facility 4:38 PM.
So maybe I'll have it BEFORE Wednesday AM by 10:30. Or not.

FYI, I paid $30.00 up front for 2-3 business day shipping; I'm not sure how they count it, but Tuesday would be good. Whatever, I'm not complaining, at least it's here in the States! Hang in there, we'll all get our iMacs soon.;)

It might depend on the day, the rep, or how you word it. Don't ask for it. It's basic customer service - show a little dissatisfaction at the situation, but make clear it's not the rep you are annoyed at. Ask how much it would cost to upgrade the shipping - don't just ask them to do it free. She offered to pay for it immediately and before hanging up I refreshed the order page and saw that it now shows 2-3 business days for shipping instead of 'standard'.

I have a rMBP coming to NYC and it looks like it was on the same flight from Shanghai. Mine departed Memphis about 2 hours ago so hopefully both yours and mine come before Thursday. The wait is killing me!

Update

Ordered December 8, 2013. Preparing to Ship to Missouri USA 1/6/2013. 3.4GHz, 16G Ram, 3TB, 680 video card. Updated Spreadsheet. Like others have commented I don't recall ever being so obsessed with a purchase but then again I need the new machine my old Power G5 just can't handle software like FCPX.

No change. I'm really disappointed. I thought by now it would have changed and shipped. It has been almost three days as preparing for shipping.
 
Philly??!!

Update, mine is now in Philly. That's about 2 hours east of me. If it's in Philly tonite, doesn't it seem reasonable it would be here B4 Wednesday AM??
Ya think??? Oh, well, it's moving anyway!

Our iMacs shared a ride from Shanghai. :) FedEx status says "in transit"...I'm guessing that's from Philly airport to the FedEx distribution location closest to me. I'm less than an hour from the airport. My estimated delivery is Thursday (I didn't upgrade to the expedited service) but I'm thinking we'll get them early...maybe tomorrow or Tuesday it will be "out for delivery"! Can't wait to get this on my desk! :D
