(this was about the thing where your order appears to have been cancelled and re-ordered with no impact to delivery, by apple)

Mine released to "international shipment" at 10:26 PM Shanghai time, then "in Transit" at 10:28 PM. I guess it wouldn't be unreasonable to hope it's on that plane now (over the Pacific!!)??!! We'll know tomorrow, I guess. :)
Edit: And yes, my wife KNOWS I'm crazy. She's pretty tolerant of most of my nonsense... the exact position of my iMac (I hope!!) over the Pacific; my hobbies (amateur Pyrotechnician, semi-pro musician), etc.

As per the spreadsheet, and taking in account it's being updated correctly, the average between order until received is 27 days.

This info is in Cell R3 Source Data Spreadsheet.

Hello jckok, did your iMac ship with TNT? I think TNT shipments to The Netherlands can't be tracked on expeditors.com... i couldn't

But you are supposed to be able to track it on tnt.com The 82 nummer is the reference number, in addition to that you should receive a TNT consignment number (vrachtbrief).
You can use one of those to track your shipment on the tnt.com site. 82 is the reference number and the other one is the consignment number.

Same here ordered on 13th. Phoned apple to day and they couldn't elaborate on anything including any free gifts. Hoping ours will change in the coming days.

Well I also didn't and I picked the stats and set all the charts you see there. Was my 1st time in Google spreadsheets and I confess I was very impressed with the stuff we can do, Specially the interactivity 50 people working at the same time amazing. I'm a Excel user and I couldn't resist to have a go there are some formulas which needed to be written differently and if we get in trouble as I am now, there is allays a possibility to ask help online. have a go, have fun.

Anybody? My wife is telling me to have some patience, but after nearly a year I think I've shown more than enough. Now of for some more beers.

Not sure when it happened but the Apple store website switched from saying "Available to ship: January" to "Available to ship: 3-4 weeks".

Store says 3-4 weeks though

The pic above maybe suggests that they are making em faster?
 
This is ridiculous, i ordered on Dec 7 and it's still processing. I'm getting very annoyed. Seems orders placed after mine are all getting filled.:(:confused:

FDX90, the FedEx Panda Express, landed in Memphis at about 11:15pm ET. About 20 minutes later, my tracking info updated that my iMac had arrived in Memphis.

Next stop, Newark.

anyone know the timing from processing to preparing after you CC has a temporary transaction from apple but not quite charged.

Yup! Mine is in Memphis too! Arrived 10:22 PM Jan. 5th! HERE we go! :D
I really feel for the others who've been waiting, some longer than me! It's easy for me to say now, but it'll change over, and once it does, it'll happen FAST! I went from Preparing to ship on Friday AM to arriving in Memphis Saturday Night! Ordered 12/8 (I think it's nice to let people know so they don't have to hunt around the thread or go to the spread sheet if they're interested).

Seriously pumped... can't wait to set 'er up and switch my office junk around. Wife is getting my MacPro Quad, step-son gets my i7 Windows box; and I'll have a lot fewer computers, more power, and fewer cables and stuff hanging around.

Nope. BTO ordered 14th, still Processing, still says shipping January. Looking at the spreadsheet a very small number of units ordered around this time have shipped...Just have to wait.
