Looking at the FlightAware web site, it shows that there has been one Fed Ex flight out of Shanghai everyday, except December 23rd. FDX90 leaves around 10:30am Eastern Time (11:30pm in Shanghai) and goes directly to Memphis, TN.

So, for those who's iMac is soon to leave, that seems to be the flight schedule.

I'm hoping mine is on that next flight. :) Though it shows shipped I guess it missed yesterdays plane as the FedEx status is "package received after FedEx cutoff".

Customer service excellence

I have been playing around with my new toy for a day now, but realised I don't really like the wireless keyboard. So I called Apple to see if I could do a swap, but they said they'd just send a wired keyboard out to me free of charge. How good is that?

It'll be handy to have a couple of USB ports within reach as well, the one's round the back are all well and good, but if you just want to pop in a flash drive or a camera for a few minutes they're a bit annoying.

On the Apple tracking site my order shows as placed on November 30th - which was my original order date. There was then a mix-up ...........

Here the same! But more a mix-up by Apple? 13 days later I got the email‘s and apologies for the delaying... On both emails they are confirming the order date:
01/11/2012
Going from 21/12 & 28/12 to team January :D

I have the same message. That's is what prompted me to figure out the FedExflight schedule. Hopefully our iMacs will be on the same plane in a couple hours

? I initially ordered on 31. november, but was told that no changes were possible to my order, so I had to delete my initial order and order again on the 7th. I'm pretty sure that when you changed your order, it was made as a complete new order on that day.

honestly i hope your rightand thats the case because I'm starting to get annoyed.. I think your probabally right, what bothers me though is that if you go on the apple web site it says right there that if you want to change your order anytime before its preparing then you can...I specifically asked this and the guy i spoke with basically said to me that it wont matter at all because it wont be shipping until january either way, so i could just update it and it would be fine....so just a heads up to anyone else also, if your plannin on switching your order details, plan on waiting more time no matter what they tell you.

So mine shipped yesterday, to the Netherlands.
I ordered it with Applecare. Is that why nothing is showing on expeditors.com when I enter the 82# number?

place of delivery: east germany

ordered: 12/8/2012
shipped: day before yesterday
rumored delivery: 10/01/2013

My order has been preparing for shipment for over 24 hours. I that normal? It seems like I remember people saying they went from preparing to ship to shipped in hours in many cases.

Does anyone knows the routes Apple used to dispatch machines to Uk? Are they coming straight to London or to Ireland 1st? would be good if someone from uk still have the tracking data since departure.

Dip

It varies. Some have said it lasted only for a few hours, others for days.

In transit after international shipment release. Here we go! Hope your iMac made the flight too. :)

Still waiting

Dec. 8th, still processing and no movement. My ipad senses my anxiety and sends a LOL message to Apple.

CC card balance changed within the last hour or so, but there is not a pending transaction. Apple still processing.

Ordered December 7th. Still processing but seen a pending charge from Apple on my c/c. Hopefully this is a sign of my status moving to preparing and shipping......keep you posted..

all the stores get a shipment everyday but they never know what's in them and they go supper quickly good luck I went with ordering it online and keep checking stores so if the store has it first I can just cancel and if not its still on its way

hey are you saying that allstores get shipments of imac 27" in "canada" because i checked with 3 apple stores and they all give me the same song and dance "THEY HAVEN'T BEEN RELEASED YET ":(

Order Date: December 13th
Still Processing

Word from Apple Customer Service is that they haven't received any actual dates to go with the "January Ship" .....guess anytime in January??

well it won't be long until I have waited in the processing hell and the january oblivion for a whole month ordered on the 8th with CC so no delay there

I wonder whats the average wait in days it difficult to work out from the spread sheet as it only a very small sample of the iMac's produced ( At least I hope its not)

AFHICT the wait is getting longer not shorter

I'd expect yours to change Monday, ship by mid week. US customers have seen shorter waits, but recent shipping appears more balanced, though I'd expect a day or two lag for UK. It appears they are speeding up and if they can match Friday's numbers, they'll knock out a day or two worth of orders per day in the coming days and weeks. Only a few stragglers are stuck waiting a month or more and I'm fairly certain most if not all of those paid by bank transfer or made changes to their orders, both of which pushed back their effective order dates and thus delivery.

Yeah stores have been getting them at least in the US. They have not been getting a lot of shipments of them but they have gotten a few of them in.
