Delivery Thread for 27" iMac December Orders

Given that this thread has enough entries for 66 pages, I'm gonna try something out here:

When I was waiting for my iMac delivery, I created a tiny app that basically just checked the order status.

One click on an icon and the status was presented to me directly. I'm thinking of launching it - do you think there will be any interest?

I'll have to do some modifications, as my data is hard coded into the app right now, but the user must provide the postal area code and the order number (which of course never will be spread, nor saved on any other location than the device).

And of course, we'll have to see if Apple approves of it...

So, what do you think, would you download it? (It would be free, of course.)

That's an odd one. If it's on FDX28, it just landed in Anchorage.

Try FDX90 as well. The time on the fedex tracking will match the Departed time of the flight.

Try FDX90 as well. The time on the fedex tracking will match the Departed time of the flight.

Mine too! I was trying to figure out the flight with FlightAware.com but I didn't see any flights that matched up...

Just got off the phone with rep at Apple. He had no clue as to when my Mac will go from processing to shipping. Bumped up my shipping to 2-3 days. But from what I have been reading here. That is not going to make a difference. I'm going out of town on Thursday for a week. And I bet right when I am about to get in the plane my status will change to preparing to ship and I will not be here when it arrives. This is my first experience with ordering from apple( usually just go tot the store) and I have not had a pleasant experience with them. Is it like this when you Oder online from apple????

she's here, and she's HUGE! lol. can't wait for her to warm up so i can set it all up!

my fedex lady is awesome, she told me she saw the box this morning and knew exactly what it was, and she was so excited for me, lol! she told me all about how much she loves her imac. good people! hope i don't have too much trouble coming from a pc.

so ordered 12/26 and arrived a day earlier on 1/15 after 24+ hour lock in customs.

so ordered 12/26 and arrived a day earlier on 1/15 after 24+ hour lock in customs.

awesome! Funny how the fedex lady knew exactly what it was. I ordered on the 30th, hoping that maybe friday it'll prep for shipment. i don't know how many times i can re-organize my desk in preparation, haha.

Mine does too -- I just checked though and it went from Shanghai to Japan?! I haven't seen anyone mention this route... Makes me slightly nervous.
