Shipped today (tracking down)

Did I mention 38?!!!'
 
I am going to guess that if it is after 8:00 AM and the packs age is still at the destination sort facility it won't be on a truck today. Don't they all leave by 8:00?


Edit. Guess they will as it updated to destination facility and then out on truck for delivery

Ordered mine on December 31st. Been refreshing my order status about 10 times a day. I noticed someone ordered the same config as mine a couple of days earlier and theirs shipped this week. Hoping for the same result by the end of the week.

I saw this yesterday, so keep a close eye.

11:12 am Delivered

8:47 am On FedEx vehicle for delivery

8:17 am At local FedEx facility

5:30 am At destination sort facility

p.s. the box & iMac were bigger and lighter than expected, even knowing the specs. 21" felt small an hour later.

I've migrated between countless Macs since 1984 and this one is very impressive. Dragging folders from an external over USB 3 to my Fusion drive made me laugh. Many folders were done copying as soon as I let go of the mouse. The larger ones with 25GB flew, nearly 10x what I'm used to with the same drive, 2-3 minutes vs. 25 minutes. Sweetness.

Mine didn't make the cutoff yesterday in Shanghai...any ideas when the next flights leave there from FedEx? Also, I'm located in Nebraska so I have no idea if mine goes to Anchorage or Memphis. I'm excited!!! Have my Crucial memory on order and should get here pretty close to same time. I'd have gone with OWC like I've always done in the past but they are 25% higher for same stuff. Can't do that.

Many including myself have received theirs 2 days before the FedEx date.

Watch for FDX90 about 11am ET today. Where you live in the US has nothing to do with which flight you're on. All flights wind up in Memphis. All FedEx packages go through Memphis then fan out across the country in the wee hours, taking off about 3am from there to a sorting facility near you. Mine missed 90 and FedEx cutoff on Friday, but flew on 28 via Anchorage less than 12 hours later. Clearly they don't fly via Anchorage every day.

No, you would have seen that it arrived in Memphis last night before midnight ET. Watch here:

I doubted your FedEx-fu. I was gloriously wrong. Although Apple gave me an estimated delivery of Thursday, and FedEx (still) has an estimated delivery of tomorrow, I am currently "On FedEx Vehicle for Delivery"!!!!

Got to Memphis at 10:13 last night, two "international shipment release" entries at 1:04 and 2:39 AM this morning, made the 3:28 AM flight to Dulles, and here we are!
 
So I went "in transit" at 7:19pm Shanghai local. Looks like I'm on flight 28 to anchorage. FedEx also updated their delivery estimate to 1/17.

It also looks like it cleared customs while still in shanghai?

That's how mine flew this past Saturday. There's a clearance in both Shanghai and Anchorage. Mine didn't make Memphis til Sunday, but that was a weekend plus it was diverted to Atlanta for a few hours. Looking at tracking history for 28, it should hop again to Memphis by 1am ET in time for you to take delivery tomorrow.

I noticed the trajectory of 90 takes it right over Anchorage even though it's direct to Memphis. Now I get why Anchorage is used as a stopover for some flights. It's not out of the way at all.

Actually that is exactly what happened to me. Mine got delivered about 15 minutes ago. 2 days before Apple said and one day before FedEx said.

preparing for shipment today. i did call apple 3 times in the last 2 days, and even visited an apple store, i really think by speaking to them they somehow expedite your order,.. maybe i am wrong.

now waiting to be shipped. the problem i am out of town for another week, i am not sure what will happen with my iMac when Fedx come and they don't find me home,, any idea?

I think it is just coincident. I have spoken with Apple multiple times and still processing. Ordered on 12/21

i ordered this same spec on the 26th. i think this configuration is taking the longest. when i spoke to a manager at 800myapple sales she told me this takes a while to build. she also said apple processes orders in the sequence they are recieved, by reading this thread (which i sent her a link to) and referencing the spreadsheet clearly that's a lie. not to mention there are orders with this same config placed after you that have shipped.

tell me about it. i ordered 4 days after you and i'm none too hopeful. i'm SERIOUSLY contemplating just canceling my order. as much as i want this machine, it's ridiculous to see orders placed after mine (and especially yours) ship off...even if they have different configurations.
 
anyone waiting on a imac 27" i7 8gb 1TB fusion 680mx
should definitely call all of ur local apple stores and ask for that config they are carry those in stores
i got mine a week ago and canceled my online order

love the imac my very first mac may i add :apple::D

By the way, I told them this over the phone, that they dont process things with the order they receive BTO requests, their reply was " we don't have more info about this subject more than we explained to you sir"
